Unless of course you want to blame the parents for not recognizing their daughter's distress and allowing her to get worked up over an imaginary friend on the computer so much so that she commits suicide, then by all means.

Hell, it sounds that Dr. Sbaitso could of convinced her to commit suicide from the description in the article. She needed help, she didn't get any. End of story.

Intellectual property is inflated by a lot these days, and the price is set by the owner. Even a single song can net more than 21 million if the owner decides. Sounds like they'll still be breaking the law if they ever want to choose something to ignore.

Some of them don't even consider time you take to respond on your own time at home as work and will consider it as norm, ask for it as a rule. Gone are the good old days where people can just say, "sorry everyone left for the day, we'll get on it tomorrow mornining" and are replaced with "I'll get him on the phone right away, we'll have this done tonight".

The whole telecommuting thing is BS. If you spent 2 hours at home one night solving someone's problem they'll expect you to be in on time and will complain if your late 30 minutes the next morning. People expect to own your life. Welcome to work in the 21st century.

I didn't mean to suggest that shrinking the die from 65nm to 45 is a trivial task. What i am saying is that they're taking an old core (c2d) and shrinking it. Yes, there will be some slight alterations for sse4 performance and whatnot, but it's the same old core.

AMD is not taking the shrinking route (lets face it, they were having lots of problems shrinking 90 to 65, hense the delays) but rather creating a whole new core that's a native quad core cpu.

It's not that hard to see AMD applying a 45nm shrinking process to the k10. Maybe they'll do that by the time that nephilim (whatever intel's new architecture is called) is supposed to come out (end of 2008).

Do you think there are no alternatives to gasoline prices? There are lots of alternatives, they're just more expensive currently. I saw a proposal to grow trees into biofuel once somewhere, the problem was that it would be as expensive as oil priced at 80$ a barrel.

Then again, why do you think oil was priced low in the past? OPEC has said many times that they don't like to see oil priced higher than 40$ a barrel because it would lead to the production of alternative fuels.

So it somehow makes it different if you call up the other company and ask them what price they're selling at?

Truth of the matter is, DDR memory companies had competition with RamBus. If they talked to one another and decided to sell for a low price, how is that price fixing? Are you saying that no competition took place between the DDR memory companies? Lowering prices is a direct result of competition in any market.

Price fixing should only be when a product is sold across the board at an inflated price with no competition from multiple companies. This is definately not the case here.

That can't be true. Cleaner air allows more radiation to be retransmitted back into space. That's what we learn from looking at venus as an example. High ammounts of carbon dioxide trap the heat within the atmosphere. Yes, as a result of cleaner air, more water vapor will be in the atmosphere, but it will not block the radiation, merely holds it. Water vapor is clear and transfers heat fairly well.

Think of it this way. The higher the heat, the more water that air can hold. The more sunlight, the more evaporation. However, it's not always sunny at every part of the planet. The water loses it's energy, becomes mist/rain whatever.

In a system where you have high ammounts of carbon dioxide, you get heat that's trapped. This heat builds up and does not release as much overnight.

Clean air is always the way to go.
