  2. cryto debate... totally different than weapons on News.com: Crypto Doesn't Kill - People Do · · Score: 1
It's just like our senators to scapegoat anything they can get their hands on to get their agenda across. Let me explain a bit->

Cryto is not a weapon. It's a form of privacy. Comparing it to weapons is like comparing apples to bmw(s). Weapons are meant for killing, cryto is meant for privacy. There is an ongoing governmental idea that citizens are to blame for everything. How is that so? When people restrict your rights or are trying to at least, that gives a strong message that they don't think you deserve them/will misuse the freedoms. If you talk to a senator that is for restricting cryto, in any argument he'll use is that everyone is a potential terrorist and that the gov't (big brother) will need to keep an eye out on that person to make sure they don't do anything wrong. Most people would agree since their automatic response is "well i don't do anything wrong, why should i care?". But the underlying issues are "There goes my privacy". While most people are willing to take steps to prevent what happened at 9/11, they don't know what steps to take. You think by listening to the scapegoating done by congress any progress will get done?.. This is politics people, it's all based on promisses and no followthrough. Though i'm preaching to the chior, this has to be repeated so that it sinks in.

Though most people think that this issue is just like guns, please let me explain why it's not. Guns don't kill people, people kill people Back to my issue with backdoors in crytos, if you think the gov't will use this only in terrorist cases, well first think about what is the definition of a terrorist according to the gov't. It's considered to be anyone who's against the gov't, and trust me, there are lots of people. Just look at other times this has happened (backdoor in encryption proggies in other gov'ts) and france is the tell all. It didn't work there due to corruption and it won't work here. Whether the gov't spys on people and puts them in jail for any small infraction or buisness secrets get sold to the highest bidder, it doesn't make it right. That bundled with the fact that the use of stenography and encryption is overrated in terrorist organizations, you have to wonder if another agenda is behind this, even if the agenda is the advancement in a political career. And if it is, it's a goddamn shame that politicians use disasters like this for their own gain. What happened to illegal searches and seasures? That's been thrown out the door and isn't even a topic. I'm not talking about airport security, but people searching others at malls and whatnot. It's wrong. I want to know who'll be the voice of reason in this troubled times and yell out "We will not let the acts of these cowards to change our lives that we take for granted".

There shouldn't be security holes that allow these viruses to exist in the first place. Don't blame the kids who wrote this, but rather blame microsoft. I'm sure you can use the excuses that microsoft can't be held responsible for everything their software causes, but this is rediculous. Why did it take tons of viruses for microsoft to even patch this?.. Why wasn't this patched before, or caught before and addressed? It's simply because microsoft can't afford to make their software secure until it's demanded, and that's just wrong for a company like microsoft.

Sociallism?.. worked great in the smurfs. There's nothing wrong with gov't controlled utilities. Most utilities were regulated until recently, and most had a monopoly in whatever it was doing.

A question you must always ask yourself is: "Is this really an area where I feel comfortable having a group of ill-informed non-experts wasting my money?"

Damn, i was under the impression that most of the bells being broadband isps had no knowledge how to run a decent service themselves. Just walk over to dslreports.com and take a look at the horror stories there. I myself had to wait 2 months after i was scheduled to get dsl because they set up "the wrong line". Didn't get sync on my modem, wasn't able to use the service, but i had no choice. As long as you have a choice, and it's not a monopoly, gov't run services are a good idea. Especially when the alternative is shitty service.

I still like how the RIAA can't just come out and start to sue the american public for distributing music. Better yet, criminally charge 1/2 the population of america and make them serve 5 years in jail each.. that way we can get out of this recession by slave labor in the jails to compete with oversea markets.

Another funny thing?.. who the hell is the riaa to sue anyone anyways?.. what jurisdiction does an organization have to say that they represent a majority of the music industry?.. why not have sony and metallica single handedly sue all mp3 dealing junkies on the net.

  12. My gravitational theory on Mystery Force Affecting Probes · · Score: 1
    Muahahahaha, here it goes

gravity is a byproduct of matter moving through space and as such the biggest concentration of matter is located at the sun, and it is moving fast through the galaxy, and the galaxy is moving through the universe. This will be called theorem 1.

Theorem 2 - Matter is actually an influx of dimentions. We take the substring theory to a new level and say instead of having dimentions rolled up inside of matter (quarks), they are constantly interacting in one another. The universe which we percieve to live in is just another dimention which these multidimentions exist inside of. The main idea is that the interactions of dimentions with this universe is a benign one, but when moving, it causes an.. interaction with this dimention thus causing "matter" to be in "existance". Thus matter is just a byproduct of the interactions, but the interactions of this universe and the others cause gravity.

Theorem 3 - Time is also a byproduct of the dimentional interaction with this universe. There can be no time with no space and vice versa. But that really isn't part of the theorem. The theorem goes as follows. Each rotating force in this universe has "fields" of force around it, or a certanty field in which it is the main driving force. Each galaxy has a center (massive black hole) in which everything rotates around it. Each solar system has a sun (red dwarf or whatnot) that is the main gravitational force. Each atom has a nucleous, ect. Once outside the main force, it will ahere to the rules of the greater force outside of it.

Hense, out of all my theorems, theorem 3 is the cause for the deflection. After getting too far away from the sun (ordos clouds or whatever they're called), it will be under the influence of the galactic center. The problem with this is the incredible distance, the relative speed of the probe to the center (remember that solar systems rotate around this center, if the probe is leaving the solar system, it is either traveling faster or slower than the solar system in relative speed.

So basically think of it like... Lauching something from a satelite in orbit horizontally (not to or away from the planet). The increased speed will make it change orbit, or fall to the earth. That or dark matter :P

The fact that all these kids seem to be able to get guns as easily as candy bars in no way sugests that there are too many guns around this country. Noo, of course not. Teachers and other students find bullying behavior OK, yet they're all saddened why some kid who was picked on takes a gun to school and shoots a few people. Hello? Schools are like juvenille prisons sometimes. And of course the media has nothing to do with it. Everytime some kid goes to school with a gun it makes headlines and gets attention throughout the country. WTF, if these kids who are being bullied and abused in school want to cry for help, what better way to? It's just the stupidity of people who even listen to others who blame things that aren't the cause of the problem that piss me off. Yes, go and blame doom. That's the first thing i heard from the colombine incident, is that he used to play doom and quake. Hmm, i guess all that time running around with a bfg and shootin' monsters must of made him go psycho. Kattz, no one really listens to people like john ashcroft. The only ones who do are other politicians that are up in the blame game and bad parents who are out campaining instead of taking care of their children. All of the kid's who went aronud shooting, go look at who their parents are. You'll find 9/10 that are just plain bad parents. They don't watch what their kids are doing, they don't talk to their kids, all they do is come home and watch tv and forget that they even have a family.
