At the number of comments of "who cares" or "It will force processor makers to come up with new ideas". One of the basic truths of processor design is that the goal is to get the highest performance at the minimum effort possible, and the best way to achieve this is to keep doing what has worked in the past until it doesn't work any longer. Yeah, maybe its less satisfying to see 3ghz processors with 1 IPC than it is to see 300mhz processors with 10 IPC, but that isn't really the choice we're faced with. Traditionally, processors have increased in performance at 60% per year, most of that coming from higher clock frequencies. Achieving 60% improvements primarily from IPC increases would be extremely difficult to achieve for even one year... much less being able to sustain that rate of growth each year.
Anyway, I have confidence that clock frequency improvements are going to be with us for a long time to come...
Oh, and gOD is dead...
Actually, you're an idiont but I'm too tired to explain why
Wow I bet you feel like a fucking brainiac for making that obvious and asinine observation...
Come on dude... we're trying to have a discussion here... why do you have to resort to petty insults?
Seriously dude, your mom had my whole cock in her throat... I've seen than thing gag women who live on diets of nothing but cum, so god damn...
and it's got taco's name all over it...
I'm going to go back in time and kill the fucking sperm which resulted in your unfortunate existence...
Just goes to show what happens when you run an inferior OS which is vulnerable to such exploits...
