I remember going to a Windows Vista preview some years ago. Sure it looked all fancy and cool back then as well, but we all know where that pOS ended up. I'm always suspicious of when people say "OMG, this new Windows platform is the greatest evar!!!1!"
The Department of "Homeland Security"....that name always reminds me of the Nightwatch from Babylon 5. I still cringe when people refer to the U.S. as "Homeland" or "Motherland".
I used to have an electronics kit as a kid. Simple stuff, but fascinating. Though I didn't go into an electrical engineering field (comp sci instead), I am still interested in tinkering around.
On a side note, does anyone know how a switch placed into a circuit can be tested and used in CircuitLab?
I wonder what would happen if a large group of astronomers and exogeologists got together and lied about there being oil on Mars. The world would be sent into a frenzy, missions would be sent out there, and nothing would be found. But in the meantime, we've developed our space travel tech way beyond what we have now. Worth it?
But that is assuming that people have blamed Obama for the economic crisis. Last I heard, the general consensus was that it was still Bush's fault anyway.
My personal opinion is to go with Hanlon's Razor. Politicians in general are just plain incompetent - there's little rhyme or reason behind their actions beyond personal greed.
Then I would say that anyone who is "borderline" should not be able to drive either. I have zero tolerance for drivers under any sort of influence (and yes, that includes other chemical influences, cell phones, etc).
One less drunk driver on the road could mean one or more people who get to continue living. And one or more people who get to keep their loved ones around.
Now if only they would implement this here in the US...
Thinking that "active" video games will increase exercise among children, is like expecting that a news aggregate website will increase the amount of reading people do.
...And to clarify, there's a reason why the acronym RTFA exists.
For some reason, I read your post in the voice of Cotton Hill:
"Ain't gots no Google account. They don't track me, I'm a war hero. I killed fiddy men."
The article says this new policy goes into effect March 1st. Today is February 22nd, and tomorrow is the 23rd.
02/23/2012 != 03/01/2012
They need to recheck their logic.
The headline said "blame", not "credit". I think the former is more relevant here.
I want a browser extension to record and track my connections into a centralized database. It's for my own benefit, you see.

If that were true, then they would still only be able to regenerate 13 times...

One one hand I want to say "Well, he's promoting Santorum so Obama will have the greatest chance of winning in the main election".
On the other hand, I know this is a troll. An incompetent troll, but a troll nonetheless.
Looks like TFA got nuked as well...
What is this I don't even
Why don't we focus on just getting the US off the US Piracy Watchlist, before worrying about everyone else?
It's the AMERICAN WAY!
So is snorting caffeine, apparently.

Whenever a /. headline asks a question, the answer is always No.
