    The federal government is allowed to provide robocalls for incumbents who favor sending more tax revenues to the FCC.

    Hillary's opinion on that issue (and others) is so vaulted away inside herself, I'm not sure she could privately answer it.

    Practically speaking its a matter of what she thinks will win the votes on any given day.

    A better alternative: be the candidate you want to vote for.

    "We NEED those smart people over here if we want to remain competitive and relevant."

    A lot of the people who set off bombs and go on mass shootings are diploma smart. Many of them hold advanced engineering degrees.

    And remember most acts of terror are perpetrated by people who are either from overseas or travel there or have many contacts there.

    Being on the other side of the world makes it harder to sell papers here, but I think you do have a point here.

    Similarly there's a lot of violence in Chicago that doesn't make the news until it is one ethnicity attacks another ethnicity.

    There are a lot of terrible, scandalous things that happen commonly :(

    You could say the law of gravity prevents objects from leaving the ground, but it happens.

    Random kinetic energy lends itself to diffusion and dissipation, but, seeing as it is random, there could be periods (likely brief) where a small group of atoms move closer together.

    As a taxpayer, I would love to see cheaper, better drones shooting down our enemies.

    On the other hand there was that case of Iran hacking our drones using GPS/radar jamming.

    Humans are less hackable like that.

    There's a lot of energy in the AM world directed at this anyway.

    Other than the libs running SV I'm not sure what private sector entities are censoring.

    It's nothing compared to gov censorship.

    Same thing with killing human beings. Companies have done it (Blackwater, etc), but the gov chalks up many, many millions of lives.

  17. Eric Schmit is running the tech side of the Hillary campaign. That, all by itself, does not make Google guilty, but with this evidence it shows it is also internal and, yes, they are very guilty.

    Also it is considered "offensive" to speak badly of a lady or an ethnic minority or (in SV) a Democrat (see Scott Adams' article here: http://blog.dilbert.com/post/1...).

    I would rather have fair than "offensiveless" and am prepared to drop any technologies in that pursuit.

    Slashdot has no problem with Eric Schmit campaigning for Mrs. Clinton or with google never autocompleting to "Crooked Hillary" or with Apple refusing to support one of the party's conventions, but it has a big problem when a tech figure supports the other side.

    Are slashdotters trying to be techie hacks or political hacks?

    Apple has helped us decide who to vote for by not supporting Trump's campaign.

    This helps because voters don't have to make their own choices and can't be misled.

    Now Apple is helping us decide what kind of emoji's we can use and how we should think about guns.

    These guys are just so helpful.

    What will the future hold for us? We will soon have the luxury of having our clothes picked out for us ... which jobs we shall have ... where we can live. Just like the USSR helped people make these choices not long ago.

    That the Russians/Soviets of old risked their lives to flee their collapsing country is, of course, highly irrelevant because there are some crucial technicialities they weren't following that makes the negative aspects unrelated to what is possible.

    2) get a full-time job
    3) wait until age 21 to get married and have children
