    I'm glad you are happy with your Psion device. I am happy with my Palm based Kyocera Smartphone. It has increased my personal productivty to levels I have never seen before.     I know you are serious and I don't mean to belittle you but its not that big of a deal for society at large, really. Whether someone uses Outlook Express or Eudora, IE or Mozilla, Windows or Linux, the world will survive regardless. None of this is going to matter diddly squat for their "children's future".

    Maybe you could take a day's break away from the computer. Just hang out with some friends or go see a few movies, eat out, do something. But you're in way too deep in the whole "computer" thing.

    Where ever the broadband hogs go, tiered pricing will follow them. Do you think wireless and DSL providers are going to allow people to get away with the broadband abuse that the Cable companies would not tolerate? What makes you think DSL and wireless companies are going to want to eat the costs of all that broadband usage and basically lose money for you?

    The more people who sign up for broadband, the more overal bandwidth is used. That means higher costs for the broadband companies. I don't know why you would think costs would come down as more people sign up. Feel free to stop being stupid at any time now.

    $10 a month is $120 a year. The POOR in this country can afford that. HOMELESS people can afford that. What about folks who have Cable TV. Are they stupid too? Are you one of these useless "I don't have a TV or radio" fucks who's counter-culture just to be cool? What the hell is wrong with wanting sat radio in a big city? Clear Channel has pretty much subjugated the entire US. You NEED Sat radio just to hear something good and uninterrupted by commercials. (XM has very very very very few commercials, Sirius has none).

    What gap? Do you think if you don't read x amount of books per month that there's some gap in your life? They're probably doing what everyone else is doing. Watching TV, having sex, going to work, hanging out, drinking, clubbin and otherwise living their lives. Who needs books?
