    I would say this is mostly trivial if after the stop (and he showed the doctors note) he was told to "Have a Nice Day!" and let go. Now if the officer did something STUPID like cuffed him and hauled him downtown then this would be something to talk about. Or if they tore the car apart looking for "the hidden BOMB".

    Does anybody know if these monitors have a reading that tells the difference between "More Glowy than Normal" and OMFG roll the Hazmat truck with the LeadSuit Guys!!!??

    and i would bet that at 90ish angles to a strong electrical field there is almost always a strong Magnetic field.

    fingertip magents would be a very BAD idea.

    the way it works is you have current whenever you have motion in a magnetic field so you would have all sorts of problems

    (besides all you would need really is a small coil not a magnet)

    as someone that walks just about everywhere i have no problem paying a bit of "road tax" since i still walk on ROADS. In fact if it would pay for
    1 more sidewalks
    2 pedestrian bypasses
    3 better street lighting
    i would be happy to pay more than a bit. Besides i still benefit from delivery trucks and such that use the roads.

    Have the Shows themselves include product placements (where it makes sense of course). a Morning news show could have the coffee the anchors drink sponsored by say Maxwell House (or Dunkin Doughnuts) and we could start seeing real life brands in TV shows. Heck if you wanted to you could have a "sponsors page set" on the TV shows website.

    besides On Board Attacks are Old News since you stand a very good chance of trying to take a plane with Hells Angels , US Marines or other "Rather Agressive Folks" that DO NOT NEED WEAPONS to kick your arse into next week. right now the "best " plan would be
    1 get a small or mostly "smoke" charged device (with a bio-agent vial) into the security checkpoint and have it trigger by the scanner
    2 watch as the response crew gets folks sorted out into
      A Your Mule
      B the folks that need a hospital
      C the folks that can just proceed on their way
    3 wait until your agent spreads all over
    4 see that the TSA/FBI/CIA/CDC takes way to long to figure what happened
    5 TERROR!!

    depending on exactly how nasty an agent you can get this could be VERY BAD.

    I think it is criminal that there is not a Standard Reference Set of books for a majority of subjects.
    What should happen is

    1 school book author should be required to separate the "practice/quiz" parts of the book
    2 Whenever possible books on a given subject should be written to a "consensus" track (the subject should be taught in a given order) with the only real splits in things like Conventional V Electron flow in an electronics course.
    3 an electronic version should be included with the purchase of the physical book (and if you sell back the physical book you should be able to keep the E-Copy so no DRM allowed on that copy).

    if you start looking at the Stupid Expenses in schooling then maybe this would not be such a problem.

    another problem we have with fighting China is the small problem of them having 1.3 BILLION people of which a good chunk are Combat Age and they also have a buncha Young Males that have near zero chances of getting a Wife.

    They could loose a lot of troops and still have enough to be unpleasant.

    not counting those of my "brothers" that actually are THAT STUPID most Christian Scientists believe that science is simply discovering the ORDER in the universe. You can actually find bible verses that 1 state that the earth is ROUND 2 is in orbit and if you look at things in context are actually scientifically sound (not counting the times when the various "players" pulled down the console and used "cheat codes" or were operating in a very literal GODMODE).

    the real trick is the first 20 picoseconds of TIME can not be approached using Science but must be approached using Logic And Faith.

    how 3 phase current works is it is 3 separate currents clocked 33% behind each other (think of a boat with 3 rowers) if they are in proper sync then you end up getting very close to DC type current. (so the bits needed to get DC are a lot cheaper).

    things get rather nasty if one phase gets out of sync and things go to heck if you are missing two phases.

    actually its not hard at all http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/ gives you the format and there is software to collect and then format your entries (both MSO and LO have plugins)

    note doing this manually is INSANE

    I don't know if its debugging stuff or what but i tried a recent build and it was DOG SLOW. (win7starter on a 1.7 atom) gimp 2.6 runs decently.

    So John Smith could have an account John Smith (his personal account) and also have a SCHOOL account John SmithRRHS were he friends all of his students (and the admins and such).

    1 it is likely that any certification legislation will be bought and paid for by Microsoft (or simlar companies) and will also legislate that that MS Visual Studio 2014* Enterprise will be required to be used and forbid the use of FLOSS tools.

    2 this will make it impossible to use FLOSS tools on any business computer (can't have "uncertified" software running on a Business System)

    3 it will not solve the problem since the Managers will force the Designated Engineer to "sign off" on whatever is needed when The Holy Launch Date comes
