    im all for less bits of paper being included in the box.

    Oh btw the box is biodegradable and serves as inner core packaging SINCE SHIPPERS CAN AND WILL THROW THE BOXES AROUND. Now having the box be the minimum size to enclose the phone and a charger would be grand.

    the hook here is BAC has a legally "known" decay rate so they acn and will in fact say that if your BAC was 0.08 when tested then it is assumed that WHEN YOU WERE PULLED OVER your BAC was 0.10 and therefore you get tagged for DUI.

    in small words the shuttle has 2 systems pushing it into orbit

    1 the huge tank thing and the jets on the tail of the shuttle
    2 those skinny rockets on either side of the huge tank thing

    the huge one is hydrogen/oxygen the others are a solid rocket booster (btw thats where the name SRB comes from)
    the SRB is just like a model rocket only bigger LOTS BIGGER and this is the fuel being replaced

    (note for actual rocket scientists this is the post-it(tm) version so the details are a bit fuzzy)

    as a hint to the peanut gallery i think these folks would stick this in an area that normally gets blocking cloud cover maybe 5 days out of the year since:

    1 its a fracking big tower with a large array of mirrors
    2 Deserts are not known for having a lot of rain to begin with (hint define:desert in goggle)

    the difference here is that Adam and Eve both had the total genetics of the entire human race so that the copy of a copy problem (which is the big problem with incest) did not apply YET.

    try to read a document thats a XXXth generation photocopy to see the problem

    easy to sort out the percentage you print out the page (it should be no more than say 3 sheets anyway) and then
    subtract the print borders and then measure with a ruler the amount of space on the page and then the amount taken up by ads adspace/total space X 100 will give you the percentage.

    so lets see 8.5X11 sheets half inch borders gives you 75square inches of space so you need to have less than 7.5 squares inches of ads per page

    and what i say to those people is
    sure i will stop blocking ads when

    1 every provider can certify under penalty of law that the ads being served are relevant safe to view and are less than 10% of the page content

    2 everybody stops cramming 60% of a given page with various ads cross site links and widgets so that an article thats 4 paragraphs does not need to be on 8 pages because the content pane is smaller than a postit

    3 everybody also stops doing videos for everything and actually writes articles (a video of a talking head should be replaced with what the talking head said)

    2 buckets of good size

    1 bucket of cleaner/wash solution: wash the chunks of "stuff" off the knives

    1 bucket of sanitizer/rinse: rinse and sanitize

    and do you think that they can't come up with buckets?? (i would bet even WgP has some stuff come in 5 gallon buckets)

    i think that the problem is the person in question DID NOT pay for Fire Services as part of taxes because he was out of jurisdiction of the local FD. The Fee was to extend services to everybody in that fringe area

    What math needs to be done is if the current being used for the tree is normally "waste" current.

    the eel is going to discharge the current anyway so if this is not being "used" then using it for a tree does no harm to said eel.

    anybody have the math on how much current on average that type of eel produces??

    okay so we get somebodies computer to fix and after we salvage the data as best we can why don't we

    1 either by slipstream or by autopatcher make sure the system is up to date as of this date
    2 install firefox ,disable MSIE and install adblock with a good patterns subscription
    3 Install all of the stuff that will get installed (flash a proper java acrobat reader ect) with the correct settings (to avoid some of the drive-byware problems)
    4 install some sort of free antivirus and then set it to autoupdate SILENTLY
    5 also install a few FLOSS programs that would work for that user

    in short we can not "fix stupid" but we can make it a lot harder to break the computer

    it depends on the exact job but most of what you are claiming is in fact false
    No holiday time,: Most jobs will have some vacation time after a year or so
    no sick leave, : Most jobs have a block of "personal days"
    no maternity leave,: Its unpaid but required by the Family Medical Leave Act http://www.dol.gov/whd/fmla/index.htm
    it unpaid but present
    no restrictions on hours worked,: this gets a bit squishy but in an hourly job everything above 40 hours in a week gets paid time and a half and there is some stuff related to salaried jobs
    no mandated breaks,: most states will have either custom or actual law on this point
    few health and safety regulations, : ever hear of something called OSHA?? (this may hook into the break thing also)

    what i want in an anti virus solution is

    1 a program that is more or less "fire and forget"
    2 that has a STHU mode for when it does the updates
    3 knows that once a day is good enough to update the patterns
    4 does not completely take over the machine during said updates
    5 is not a microsoft product but in all fairness autopatcher does now grab a copy of MSSE when it builds an update set so i may use it when doing a patch/update on a "civilians" machine

    the difference between a tear down and a review is a tear down normally involves getting out tools and dissembling the product while a review is just talking about the product.
