    Yeah, I've been wondering about that.
    Since Rumsfeld keeps yapping on about how the centre of Europe has moved further to the eastern parts of Europe, how come the U.S. hasn't done the same and declared Denver as the nation's capital, seeing as how Denver is pretty much smack in the middle of the U.S. landmass?

    Because MAC addresses aren't guaranteed to be unique. They're vendor specific, every vendor gets a prefix and is free to allocate MACs based on its prefix. All they have to watch out for is that they don't ship NICs with the same MACs in the same batch (to reduce the risk of NICs with the same MACs being used on the same LAN, thus causing a world of problems).

    How many tens of millions of civilians has the U.N. watched die while it has sat on its ass?

    Quite a few. But, then again, that's mostly due to the fact that the US used its veto in the Security Council, thus negating UN involvement. Don't blame the UN for sitting on its ass when it's the US that pulled up the chair for it to sit on.

    Care to guess how often the US has NOT vetoed against resolutions regarding illegal, israeli settlement in Palestine? Answer: 0, Zero.

    It never ceases to amaze me that, since WMD's are apparently so bad in the Middle East, how come the US doesn't interfere with the ONLY nation that literally has all sorts of WMD's, that single nation being Israel?

    The reason you feel so "goddam hungry" as you put it, is because it takes a bit of time for your stomach to adjust. You've got to give it a few days for it to shrink to adjust to your new amount of food intake. You can also decrease your food intake in babysteps, that way your stomach probably won't even notice your eating less and less and less.

    From an engineering point of view the stomach is a brilliant design. It adjusts to your food intake, you just need to give it some time to adjust.

    Oh, and EXERCISE!

    Reading your post it appears to me that you consider the following:

    Kids being raised by a single parent, or have parents who are separated/divorced, being in some ways inferiour to kids being raised by a married couple. While you may not have said so in so many words, it doesn't exactly take a genius to read between the lines.
    Believe you me, this is from personal experience, it doesn't matter if the parents are married or not, as long as the child gets attention and love from both parents.

    The notion that it's actually good to "do whatever it takes" to keep the marriage going is absurd. Do you honestly believe that it's better to have two people staying together, constantly yelling at each other or something worse, for no other purpose than to raise a child in a married relationship, than it is to simply get a divorce, stop the yelling and concentrate on being a PARENT! and start loving the child instead of spending useless energy hating the former spouse? (long sentence I know, but I'm getting sleepy)

    <rant>
    What's the big rush in getting married anyway? I've never understood that. Are two people somehow not as blessed by the Almighty as another couple of people who just happened to have had a ceremony with a preacher and all to tell them they were married?
    </rant>

    I do however agree with you on discipline. Kids these days don't get enough discipline at home (on average).

    Basically, the logic containing information about your account is stored on the SIM card, which is little more than the SMART part of a SMART card.

    Without the card the phone is about as much a use to you as a bicycle is to a dog (not counting stupid pet tricks).

    But the SIM card is not limited to storing your account information, on many Nokia phones I've heard of/tried/owned, SMS messages are stored on the card along with my phonebook.
    Just about the only thing my Nokia 3310 (ugly old thing) stores by itself are my personalized ring-tones and my personalized operator logo.

    When I buy a new phone (which should be this summer) all I'll have to do is pop the SIM card in the new one and off I go! No hassle, no worries.
