* Just one. ** Most of the time, just one. Sometimes there will be a driver paying attention who then crashes into someone else. *** Normally just the one. Mod parent up. Only after a global revolution where the scum are hung up (and/or shot) shall things start to get better. The trick, and this is difficult, is to make sure that new scum don't rise. I.e. it had better not be a Leninist revolution, rather, make it an anarchist one thanks.
There's been something called premium economy on most airlines I've flown recently. It's (depending on the length of the flight) between 50 to a few hundred dollars more expensive. I don't think I've seen it on the transcontinental (10 to 12 hours) flights. You get the same meals as economy class, but you get to board earlier, and you get more leg room, and sometimes better seats. Maybe the concept hasn't reached that backward America place though.
I always make sure to move around enough. Not that I'm as tall as you.
And I hear you on the cabin baggage thing! Air France (who I've flown most in recent years) doesn't seem to bother enforcing their limits. So there are people cramming two or even three big bags into the overheard bins.
And business class... Oh, even if it's a crap airline, it's still better than economy class on the average airline... Except that I can't justify the cost...
Some of us try and use laptops on flights. And the lose of space when the seat in front reclines is significant for me for that purpose. Moreover, even trying to eat the provided meals is harder when the seat in front is reclined. The seats maybe meant not to be uncomfortable when reclined, but if I am trying to do anything with the tray, it's a pain in the neck.
I recently flew on a rather old African owned plane (run by a state airline). It being my first experience with this style of airline (the only other African airline I'd flown was SAA, which is no better or worse than the average European airline), it was interesting. E.g. there was heaps of leg room! It was amazing compared to the other airlines I'd been flying. Economy class was actually comfortable for me, even without pushing the seatback back (which I never like doing if there is someone behind me, I think airlines should remove that option).
On the newer planes though, I always have to get an aisle seat, otherwise I am uncomfortable the entire flight.
With Skype, you are guaranteed that the NSA has access. Sure they have access to SIP as well, but they have to work slightly harder. And by continuing to use Skype, you are in effect saying OK to the NSA (and anyone at Microsoft who's interested and has access, including the too smart for their own good, and up to no good, cleaner, who has a bizare grudge against society) listening in.
Yeah, I use Qemu (and DosBOX) for all my virtualization needs. It just works. The interface is really easy too: $qemu-system-i386 -m 200 Windoze Will run the image Windoze and allocate 200 megabytes of memory. That's fine for me.
I don't trust MS at all. Why, I reckon that MS Windows 8.1 will come with new and exciting backdoors for the NSA (and any other security agency or criminal gang (but I repeat myself)). OK, I might be exaggerating slightly, it won't come with deliberate backdoors as such, simply holes that haven't been fixed yet, guaranteed to be around for at least a few months.
I'll stick with my Ubuntu thanks (until I try Debian again later this or next month, and see if it works). Now, you might say that Ubuntu has its flaws, and well, it does. But, if you don't use Unity or the Software Centre, you can get a perfectly good system with minimal issues, and no obvious privacy concerns. (I use 12.04 with Gnome 3.something. I have issues with this version of Gnome, but I still prefer it to KDE (which kept crashing on me) and Xfce (which doesn't have enough fancyness, I do have a fancy powerful laptop, I like a bit of eye candy).)
Remember: if you are worried about security or privacy, don't use a closed source OS connected to the Internet.
Think of the spam filter they could build with that amount of spam to train it with...
One thing about using Yahoo, and Google mail, is that their spam filters have scale. Because so many virtually identical emails will be sent to hundreds or thousands of inboxes, they can say that it's either spam or a newsletter. If it looks like spam, or if enough people mark it as spam, than it probably is. Bang.
And the NSA is getting not just the email going to one company, but to all of them. And to those weirdos (like me) who don't trust advertising supported email and either pay someone or run their own email.
Wow. If they were doing good, they could distribute a set of rules so that anyone could implement an almost perfect spam filter...
Android. Many embedded systems. Many micro systems, such as tomsrtbt or similar (now virtually unneeded, due to the lack of floppy discs on new computers, and the prevalence of booting of CDs or USB flash drives). Many lightweight systems, such as Damn Small Linux. Etc.
You people are worrying too much. Go and play out in the yard while the adults discuss and decide. I.e. Clinton is just another politician, and we all know that politicians are scum. What comes to the top of society is the scum.
And, if elected as president in 2016, she'll be just like Obama, all "hope and change", and then, business as usual. Meet the new boss, same as the old one.
What Clinton whats is a continuation of the spying. But with transparency: we'll keep spying, but we'll tell you about it sometimes. And we'll pretend it's not really a big a deal as you think.
Now, joke time: What's the difference between the Republicunts and the Democunts? The Republicunts say "we are going to bomb you", and they do. The Democunts say "oh no, we'd never bomb you", but they do any way. Updated version: The Republicunts: "we'll spy on you because terrorism, if you object, you're a terrorist". The Democunts: "you have nothing to fear from us spying on you, we're just after nasty bad people, you don't want those nasty bad people to get away with their evil crimes do you?". But they both spy on you. Because they are all fucking cunts who should be hung up by their necks until dead (only because they aren't worth the bullets).
"But, first, let's agree to get rid of the partisan sources:" NPR is maybe vaguely left (or at least not right). CNN, aka the conservative news network. "nytimes, dailykos, slate, politico, washingtonpost" all on the right. "foxnews, breitbart, redstate, hotair, instapundit on the right".
OK, so there aren't actually any left news sources? Color me shocked that the mainstream media are all a bunch of right-wing crazy fucknuts who don't actually provide a real alternative on the left. What, you mean that big capitalist institutions are more likely to support capitalism? Who'd a thunk it?!
I'm not arguing with you. Please understand that. I'm just insulting you. I don't need facts to insult you. (Though the fact that you are a fucking nutbag is obvious to see from your posts.)
Manning didn't release everything at once. That was a Guardian journalist. Manning gave the lot to Wikileaks, who worked with the newspapers to release little bits at a time. Then some idiot at the Guardian told everyone the key to the encrypted load, and it all got out. But don't blame it on Manning, who did exactly what Snowden did later (i.e. give the stuff to pros, who then went through it and published a little at a time).
Starting in 2011, the NSA has been tracking mobile phone users across the USA, documents provided by ex-analysis Ed Snowden show. This directly contradicts what the head of the NSA, General "Fuck you, I'm the mother fucking NSA chief BITCHES!" Alexander said last week.
I.e. whatever Fuck you, I'm the mother fucking NSA chief BITCHES! says, should be taken directly as a lie, and the reality is obviously much worse. As anon coward said, they lie and they twist the truth. Nothing they say should be trusted.
Mod parent down, has obviously read too many bad books.
So, is she your ex-GF because you got her a MBA? I would understand that. Macs, eww.

If you want encryption, just use it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Session_Initiation_Protocol#Encryption

Skype = NSA endorsed spy software.
Use SIP (e.g. Ekiga is free software, and offers free accounts) or something similar instead. Safety, you know.

You had two flatmates? What happened to them? You killed and ate them?
