    I listen to the Alex Jones Radio Show infowars.com if your interested. They said violent video games dehumise people and make them num to the thought of killing people. I don't be leave it but that's what there saying. I think video games have nothing to do with it people are people and some do bad things video games have nothing to do with it but right now the country needs some thing to blame.

    He hates stupid patents there was a guy on Shark Tank who had the patent for running Apple product speaker wires threw clothing. Mark flipped and said I will run blue tooth with pairing just so you don't get any money. lol He was been open as well that patents stand in the way of innovation.

    A lot of websites are still written in perl. Facebooks original layout was all perl I think they might still even use some in there programming. If I am not mistaken I be leave Amazon and eBay use some in there layout as well.

    "Instagram now says 'it is not our intention to sell your photos' and that 'users own their content and Instagram does not claim any ownership rights over your photos" I agree with that and thank you for the clarification. But have you ever tried to "delete" an Instagram account by way I say "delete" not "deactivate". Instagram makes it's so easy I am shock a lot easier then Facebook.

    School districts listing all the things they have done to make there schools safer in public news paper keep that info private. I know there trying to elevate parent fear but security over politics people.

    IBM got rid of there PC division cause PC were dying and PC and tablets are stronger then ever. I mean there a mainframe company there finger is almost never on the pulse. Not to mention they are still trying to keep Lotus alive lol

    There is a version of Debian that can be ran on smart phone wish a major vendor would carry it such a great open source platform. Since they dropped droid maybe that could try that on a phone since they are producing Ubuntu laptops.

    If you want keep yourself hidden from the world on social media it's not going to work out. I own a computer business and online store I have enjoyed a great deal of success but I am the public face of the company. Just the way being a business owner is people people want to see the boss whether it's in face or on internet. I am not saying share your life but you are your brand when it comes to business.

    I am sure many of the die hard slashdoters use BSD. The old slashdot readers like myself were and still are linux and unix enthusiasts. The article helped a NON-PROFIT organization and slashdot got some positive press. Good for them. Web sites do have ways to track where site donations and site traffic comes from.

Microsoft wants there big cut but they software structure and licencing model is a dinosaur. They need to start operating like a app company or cloud computing company if they want survive.
