Absolutely, but I would probably avoid those areas where I didn't feel safe in the first place. I can't imagine ever needing to carry a gun in the course of my daily life. It was a fairly innocent question, I'm just interested. I was actually expecting people to take my question the wrong way which was why I tried to explain that it wasn't a troll in the first place.

Sorry, this might sound like a troll, it's not. Is your country really that f*ck*d up that people feel they aren't safe without weaponry? Your use of the word "necessary" seems to indicate that things are pretty screwed up where you are.

Surely this is an over exaggeration isn't it?

Excellent bits of kit. In a previous company we specced them up and although they were pretty expensive they still looked to be worth it for reducing downtime and callouts. Finance didn't agree. :(

Running my own company now, and I've already said that as soon as it becomes neccesary we'll be going with similar kit. :)

Ugh... I know the feeling. Sickeningly enough I just had to do the same for my nephew. The worst thing is that he has firefox, the best antispyware apps, a good virus scanner and an excellent firewall. The little scumbag just keeps loading IE, not updating his virus / adware definitions, downloads trojans and pretty much allows everything to access the net when asked. :(

Oh, and does anyone know how I can stop IE loading? At least that should kill some of the problems.

Not sure what could be causing the problem on your machine. Old version of .net? Heavy duty processes running in the background?
