How would this stand up in a US court of law under evidence? It would be self-incriminating and there are laws on that.

    a fraud.
I am paying for a grade to be given to me.
The professor is expected to teach me, now, the professor might suck ass. Now, you say, why don't you just study more.
The point is, even if you crammed 24/7 on that subject matter, the professor can still be a prick and give you test material that doesnt even relate to the course.
I've had a calc 1 teacher, the rundown on his grades:
    of a class of 60:
    A - 0
    B - 2
    C - 10
    D- 20
    F - 28
Now, if almost HALF the class failed, thats a problem.
I've had friends in a calc course, (differen teacher), gave out test material so hard, that in a class of 60, 40 failed.
Now I have the right to a fair course that I paid for. My salary is going for this guy's food. I expect to be taught well and not some kind of bullshit which i've had to deal with.

  15. I'm taking Java on Java as a CS Introductory Language? · · Score: 1

Or rather took java in my intro cs classes. Alot of my friends who programmed before complained alot about it. How only applets and games were made with them, (bigoted opinions).
I liked the language, taught me alot about the OO concept. The garbage collector is a convience for those beginner programmers that would have to constantly worry about making a garbage collector, although, it would work against them in the future, being forced to learn it when they learn another language.
Java is an easy language to learn, compared to C++ and C.
One more thing, UMLs, if you want to teach how to make programs, my school puts in the idea of good design = good coding, so we have to sometimes make code from UML. UMLs were a help in learning the OO concept.

Til the fat lady sings. IF MS wins the appeal, the case COULD go to the Supreme Court, but under Bush's DOJ? Highly unlikely. If Gore the Bore were elected, Round 3 would have a better chance of occuring, not much of a better chance.
I've as well, noticed in the past year that the ruling doesn't really affect MS. Sure, it slowed them down a bit, like a rock trips someone up, but they sure didn't fall down, they kept going and are going at an incredible pace.
Now all these features of XP and the previous story on Explorer's new feature, will definitely raise alot of eyebrows, but then again, what will happen under the Bush adminstration? Nothing. The states? Good luck, most are hands-off Republicans, although, the first case started with a alarmed Republican of Texas. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/8.11/microsoft. html
I suggest everyone read that article, it describes the entire antitrust case up til a bit after the ruling.
MS is exactly where they were before the investigations started now.
Before the decade is out, another antitrust lawsuit will be filed, the first one may have failed to slay the giant, but the second might, and if it doesn't, then MS can then say, "all your anti-trust law are belong to us"
