Asuswrt-Merlin (or XWRT or Cross-WRT) is *CLOSED SOURCE*. It's a port to the R7000 based on the open source from RMerlin, but the author of the port is refusing to provide the sources. I've contacted him and almost got him to release the source, but he later changed his mind and he's refusing to do it. That is clearly a GPL violation and even if I've asked him for the reasons to refuse to release the source code he didn't say.
Many people are complaining about TFA not getting the point of what a IM client should be.
I think the issue is not at IM but the integration with other functions. I know, is something else, but I'd like to have a good IM client like GAIM with support for voice chat, video, SMS, etc. I really hate the GUI of the you_know_which IM, but I'd like to have some of it features in Linux (GAIM or other) also.
There is no client in Linux (AFAIK) that implements at least the TOP 5 features of the TOP 5 IM systems, and I think that's where we lag behind.
That reminds me a person who went to support with a floppy disk asking them to "save" internet in her floppy because she wanted to have internet at home.
But naming a web browser "Web browser" sucks and is stupid. How the heck will you know wich browser are you starting? Even if there were just one browser, it's silly. It's like naming your cat "Cat".
Extended attributes are arbitrary name/value pairs which are associated with files or directories. They can be used to store system objects like capabilities of executables and access control lists, as well as user objects. The attr(5) manual page describes which kinds of extended attributes are defined.
What would happen with humans living on a terraformed mars? Would they develop new "features" that make then different to us? As people that lives in Africa are different than people that lives in the nordic region, would they become a new race? And if they do, would it be hard for them to live in earth again?
I worked fine from the beginnig except for 2 things: - fonts that look kind of ugly - my monitor blanks about 30 min. from boot, I move the mouse and everything back to normal.
Not the distro, per se, but the concept. I am as ardent a supporter of the Free Software cause as anyone, and Debian most closely represents my views as a proponent of Free Software. By not including any software which does not conform to the terms of the GPL, Debian has taken a firm stand against the encroachment of closed source software into their distribution.
I think that's not entirely truth. Debian includes Apache and its licence is not GPL compatible.

ST2 distinguishes its own packets with an Internet Protocol version number 5, although it was never known as IPv5.

Me too!
Dude! Where is my car?
I found a "bug"!
This guy, "Javier Blázquez", it's repeated 10 times!
I found it just by chance.
I think they mean this: EGS
What about a meaningful error message? Of course they couldn't find the bug with the message "Disk full" if the problem was the number of open files.
Nice...
What about that new OS: Red Hot Linux ?
Running *nix apps in windous has added value. How else would you have a BSOD?
He He He

I agree with you about de K stuff.

It's been in the kernel for 'long' now. It's part of XFS and ReiserFS at least.
Do you mean this?:

$299 ? How much does windous cost *WITH* source code?

I'm using xorg in gentoo.
I worked fine from the beginnig except for 2 things: - fonts that look kind of ugly
- my monitor blanks about 30 min. from boot, I move the mouse and everything back to normal.
Everything else seems to work OK
- mozilla
- cygwin
- PuTTY
- TightVNC
- JAJC
- Openoffice
- WinCVS
- JRE
- WinZIP/WinRAR
The DOJ is just jealous because they couldn't land such a successful attack on Microsoft.
I think this is not an attack but a defense.
I wish I had those "@ home" !
I wonder why Billy said that he can't imagine desktops apps using more than 4GB of memory.

How about winux ?
I think you will know who is knocking because of the source IP. So, you can allow access to the user by knock secuence by IP.
Why not just eliminate the keyboard all together,
You can't. How would you use windoze without CRT-ALT-DEL ?
