I have two sites, one is the main site which we'll call www.widgets.com and one is a site with a catchy name that automatically diverts to www.widget.com, we'll call this site www.widgetscatchy.com.
Kind of confused that www.widgetscatchy.com site had a PR5 so checked the incoming links and for some reason when I check the links to this site is shows www.widgets.com's links instead of it's own. Even when listing the site Google states 'Searched for pages linking to AYdabadfa:www.widgets.com/' instead of 'Searched for pages linking to AY4cSZStU-0J:www.widgetscatchy.com/'
The sites are using the same hosting company but they're both two completely seperate accounts and have completely different content.
Why has Google amalgamated these two sites links? I'm just slightly worried that Googlebot will drop the pair of the sites from the index if it decides that the two sites are the same.
I do have a personal website that I use to promote who I am and I do try to get employers to look at it. There are a few things I want them to take from it:

Distros usually support the Chinese language out of the box, e.g. Mandrake comes with Chinese support. If you prefer something like Gentoo, then make sure you have localization support in you glibc and utf-8 support. Then you'll only need an input editor such as SCIM. This page might help you as well.
If you need more information send me a personal message.

What a smart 'proof of concept', installing a troyan on a Windows machine. Hope you are proud of yourself.
Would you prefer if nobody lets you test their computers and you can find out *after* you bought it whether it runs Linux flawlessly or not?

I'm amazed how stupid and desperate these guys there must be.
"That's it for this year's top ten list of products to avoid. Have a GigaHappy holiday, and remember: It might be the thought that counts, but if the gear is bad, the thought doesn't matter a NanoBit."
I'm intrigued because I have a good enough ruleset now that any SpamAssassin score over 10 goes to/dev/null and I haven't seen any false positives in the past six months.
um...yes, I think that's obvious if they go to/dev/null;-)
that's simple: the government can't cheat anymore.
(yes, of course, it's the companies that cheat. but if they support one or the other candidate with a huge sum of money, don't tell me there's no conflict of interest)
It'll work on headphones, but works best in a 5.1 surround situation. On a 2 speaker scenario, the artifical delays it introduces really hurt the sound noticably.
Why does it work on headphones, but sound terrible on 2 speakers? Aren't 2 headphones just "two small speakers"?
Where I live (in Europe) we use 220V AC. So the old power supplies all came with a red switch on the back of it labelled '110V' and '220V'. One day my two younger brothers played NHL 90.something on my 486, and the younger of the two - being bored since he had to wait for his turn - decided to crawl under the table and check out the computer from behind. According to the elder one his last words (before the computer died) were "Now watch how that game will be fast after I switch to TURBO!"....
I find it somewhat ironic that on the very day scientists announce a likely 15% to 37% reduction on plant and animal species due to climate change that Dubya spews forth something like this.
It is because he read that piece of news. Now that the earth will become a hostile environment, it is time to set foot on new planets...
>>letting 3rd party clients onto the MSN network costs MS real
>>cash dollars each time a message is sent or received."
>Bullshit. A server uses electricity when it's turned on.
>It doesn't matter if a message is sent or not, it still uses
>the same amount of electricity.
also bullshit. the server uses less energy if it sits in is idle loop doing HALT.
but that's not the point. the servers have to be bought, replaced and administered. if there are more people on the network, they'll need more or bigger servers.
yet the biggest cost probably comes from the bandwith used by sending a message. and don't tell me the server uses the same bandwith whether it forwards a message or not.
Roblimo doesn't really want to switch. He just wants to complain. I bet he started the experiment and already knew Windows would suck. Well, in that case, you'd better not switch.
As a Windows and Linux user I find it amazing that his Windows seems to be so different from mine. - I can review every update and say 'yes' and 'no'. - I can use Ctrl-V,C very effectively; I don't know what Roblimo is doing with his left hand while he is copy-pasting using the mouse, but my left hand rests on the keyboard anyway. - Why does he complain about the updates? According to his article his Windows has not been used for many months. If I didn't update my Linux box for a long time this would be similar - Then his favourite IRC program is not available, so he installes some shareware. Everythig has to be free, otherwise it's worthless??? There are plenty of free IRC programs for Windows. - Maybe the only thing I can agree with in this article is that IE cannot display pages in tabs. But again, I recall that IE 6 has automatic pop-up blocking, so which version did he try? - He doesn't know what Windows Messenger is...what the f... was he smoking? Even the most remote UNIX guy must have heard about that. And if he's not able to use the options menu to disable the program...well, I don't know how he can use Linux then. - He couldn't use the quicklaunch bar. Well, Windows has a learning curve, too. I remember that I fought quite hard when I added the first few icons to Linux' equivalent.
My mother could use Windows better after one week than Roblimo. This article is may be funny, but worthless.
from the article:
"More than 20 million times a day, Internet users receive an error message when they mistype a domain name"
and
"Thus far, people have used these tools more than 40 million times to get where they want to go."
Sitefinder was online between 9/15 and 10/04, i.e. 19 days. 19 * 20 million is 380 million, so about 90% of all users don't use Sitefinder. That's not just us, that probably also includes my mom;-)
(Yes, I know...not really accurate, but who cares!)
as can be seen in this thread on webmasterworld:

I'm sorry, but I had to try this: search for anal sex and Microsoft's homepage is ranked #2 now! I kid you not.

did you see what #1 is? United States Senator Rick Santorum's webpage hosted on senate.gov

I also remember that when I was a little kid, snowbanks would reach well above my head, nowadays it hardly ever reaches above my knee.
Well, I'm afraid that's not due to a climate change.
It's because you grew taller.
Complete control of information is required to stay in power.

My first thought: he must be talking about the U.S.
Could the article be anymore GigaLame?
Yes, just read on:
"That's it for this year's top ten list of products to avoid. Have a GigaHappy holiday, and remember: It might be the thought that counts, but if the gear is bad, the thought doesn't matter a NanoBit."
why is this surprising? His page uses https, but the 'Get Firefox' image is loaded over a http connection, hence the warning.
you're new here? nobody actually RTFA ;-)
At end of sentence in German the verb you always put.
;-)
No, that's not true. The verb comes just after the subject (SVO), except in subordinate clauses where you put it at the end.
Korean, however, has the verb at the end of the sentence. Being a fan of Star Wars helped me a lot when learning the language
"If Burt Rutan was focused on a lightweight scalable wind turbine -"
No one has ever bothered to look at their climatic impact.
the way we look at and know about the climatic impact of burning terrawatts of oil and do nothing?

Next time disable network sharing before connecting a newly installed box to the net. To do updates, you only need TCP/IP.
cheer up...and a happy new 2004!
and even then, some hacking is required to update PCI IDs, and possibly the list of features the card supports.
if you call updating PCI IDs in the source code hacking, then I'm probably a terrorist according to current U.S practice
