    ...we have a similar system since 1/2003. The price of the device defines the recycling fee (German page), usually about 10$ per computer.
    If we throw it away instead of returning it we'll have to pay per kilogram.

    My experience is that every member of our family has his dedicated seat and always sits on the same couch even when he/her is alone.

    Those lucky of you who live with your wife/girlfriend and have 'your own' couch, does your partner really use it when you are not there?

    Maybe a simple 'ass present' sensor would be sufficient..

    Maybe the lawyers come along and tell these people they can get easy money, but still it is their decision whether to join the lawsuit or not.

    Btw, I just read that United, American & Boeing are going to be sued by victims of the 9/11 attacks. That's exactly that kind of stuff that makes the rest of the world laugh about the US.

    Somehow I've always wondered why some people care so much about their uptime. Among geeks this seems to be at least as important as the penis size.

    Maybe if all those computers that didn't really need to run were turned off there would have been no power failure ;-)

    Yes, I'm using Linux, too. And yes, I'm turning off my machine if I don't need it.
