    Do you believe Coke when they say "it can only call us" and "there's no way to hijack it"? I sure don't.

    As soon as somebody says "You can't do x with y technology.", the countdown timer in the back of my mind starts going "10-9-8-7-6...".

    When I read this on Friday, I thought "I've got to get a closer look at these."
    I haven't seen any in the stores here yet.

    First, they came for the top distributors.
    I wasn't among them so, I didn't speak up.

    Then, they came for the next top infringment violators.
    I wasn't among them so, again, I didn't speak up.

    Next, they came for random P2P users and, since I wasn't among the ones they targeted, I still didn't speak up.

    Then they came for me and there was noone left to speak up.

    RealNetworks Inc. has recently been made aware of security vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to run arbitrary code on a user's machine. While we have not received reports of anyone actually being attacked with this exploit, all security vulnerabilities are taken very seriously by RealNetworks Inc. Real has found and fixed the problem.

    The specific exploits were:

    * To fashion RAM files which corrupt the Player and which might allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on a user's machine. Multiple issues were reported in this area."

    This tells of the very bad process of AT&T switching CRM systems.

    As a professional software tester, I can say that I have seen the same mistakes happen more than once, but not to this degree.

    This will never happen while most (all?) of the tech economy relies on PC and OS sales.

    You can try IErad.
    !!! Not for use with Windows 2000sr2 or Windows XP
    You may not be able to run windows update any more (that is the only reason I keep IE around on my windows machine).
    It doesn't remove 100% of IE, but close enough.
