    After signing away over US $70k for the accommodations, I found out we were all breaking the law, and worse, if we were found out we would all be kicked out immediately with no refunds.

    If you're going to play travel agent, knowing the local laws is usually a first step.

    Here is a classic, indisputable, pristine example of the 'big guy' completely steam rolling over the 'little guy'. Any revenge he can extract is a cause that you all would be championing if it was a indie linux dev who had some GPL code stolen or some such..

    It wasn't stolen. If you cant call downloading movies and games stealing, you can't call this stealing either. He wasn't deprived of his property. So get your double standards straight.

    XBMC supports multiple user profiles, much the same as setting up individual users on your home computer. These individual profiles allow you to customize the environment for multiple users, allowing for such functionality as:

    • Customized view settings such as skins for each user
    • The ability to lock folders, such as network shares on a per-user basis
    • Separate Media Libraries for each user

    Did you even attempt to find something yourself?

    You know, except for the fact K-State runs a level 3 lab literally right next door to where they'd build this new level 4 lab. In addition Kansas is home to quite a few underground salt caverns that would mitigate the fear of tornadoes.

    The best predictor for educational/academic success is not race. It is the level of education of the parents. Usually parents' educational achievement is correlated with income and wealth too. (correlated, that is all. No inference on the direction of causation).

    My dad worked on the production line at Tyson and my mom was a secretary at an insurance company. The highest education between them is an Associates from a Junior College. I got a BS in Computer Science and my sister got her MPH and MD. I would dispute that parental education is a deciding factor in their kids' and has more to do with how you were raised.

    Not sure if troll. The whole point of Linux Mint, and being based on Ubuntu, is that it *doesnt* use Unity. If you want Unity, use Ubuntu.

    Well, if you'd prefer to relocate the big, heavy generator, weighing hundreds of tons, and its associated fuel tanks, to the top of a skyscraper, or even two-thirds of the way up, be my guest.

    It wasn't the generators that failed, it was the fuel pumps to the generators that failed. The pumps were in the basement. The generators were on ground floor.

    The proponents of BitCoins claim that they can effectively do a bitcoin stock split. IE everything moves the decimal over one, so things costing 1 BTC now cost .1 BTC, and 'OH look, 10x more bitcoins in the universe!'

    The so called exploit was in fact an error on ArenaNet's side, leaving weapons at a low price from some vendors. Players saw this and started making profits buying and selling the items. Should players be penalized for errors committed by the game developers?

    Sorry, no sympathy. The people who got banned bought *thousands* of weapons. That falls *squarely* in the realm of exploiting game mechanics, it doesn't matter where the fault lies. This comment on Reddit says it best:

    There is no hard and fast line saying "this is not a bug, this is".

    However, there is a very clear line between "this is a bannable exploit, this is not".

    If you are in the gray area just playing the game the way it's meant to be played, even if you do take advantage of a bug once or twice, no one is going to ban you for it. In fact, Arenanet said people had abused it up to 50 times without getting anything.

    Now, if you find something that is obviously too good to be true, and run it into the ground, doing it hundreds and thousands of times: your very actions show you KNOW it's a limited time deal that will soon be fixed and you are trying to rack in as much ill-gotten gain as possible out of it. Then you get banned.

    Ok, look. The Micro$oft thing worked, because the $ could be likened to an S. This popular spelling of Fox News would work if Faux was pronounced Fox, but it isn't. Faux could be applied to numerous news outlets.
