    Thats why in the UK the store HAS to deal with it - and that early in would be a straight swap, or a refund - your choice.

    Later on you can have repairs but if it fails a number of times you are again given a new one or a refund.

    No, its purpose is to increae capacity on the line, in a way that cannot be done by upgrading the current line (as in, an actual engineering reason)

    In law you do not need to hold 100% to be considered a monopoly, however this in itself is (obviously!) not illegal. Only abusing your dominant position is illegal.

    More difficult to prove, but if the details presented (that 21 other people, including the manager in charge of the disciplinary process, had also ticked the box, and there were no confidential details) are true, the guy shouldnt have a problem.
