So my job is to imagine reasons why I should let you control my actions, when I am driving lawfully (or speeding 10MPH over the limit!)? Yes, you're definitely an asshole, and everyone else seems to have come to this consensus. I'll brake, you'll rear-end me, and I'll sue you. It will be fun. Bring it.

Actually, you should try getting a ticket and going to traffic school. This happened over half my life ago (when I was 16), and we learned such things directly from the mouth of the government, including: You have NO OBLIGATION IN THE SLIGHTEST to move out of the left lane, or go a single MPH faster than the speed limit. And, you CAN drive up to 10 MPH below the speed limit. Every speed limit is a 10MPH range. 55 means 45-55 is acceptible. You're so incredibly self-righteous you're willing to redefine reality to suit you.

You get behind me, I slam my breaks, you rear end me, I sue you, end of story.

No, going faster doesn't equal "less reaction time". You made that up, just now. At higher speeds, you are supposed to follow at a farther distance. This makes up for the increased speed. I always try to leave enough room that, if a brick wall were to materialize and stop traffic dead, that I would still have time to brake without rear-ending them.

No, actually, suing someone who deliberately cuts wires to your utilities is a GOOD thing becuase it makes it so that this person has financial incentive to not do that to future customers. This is not "bad sevice", it is negligence. Bad service is not having extra napkins with my meal. Negligence is throwing my meal in my lap and damaging my pants. If the contractor messed up a box, and ANOTHER one had to come to fix it, it could cost several hundred dollars. It is certainly worth the $55 or so it takes to file a Warrant In Debt against the contractor to pay for fixing his mess. Make no mistake that were the situation in reverse, you would be sued. You're doing nobody a service here. Courts get paid for their time, as do lawyers. Suing someone does not take away from someone else (except who you're suing :)). Small claims court cases do not take away from criminal prosecutions. They are separate courts. In short, your whole post stinks.

If it wasn't for PeerGuardian, I would have had to stop using p2p altogether because a C&D would quickly become a civil suit if I didn't CEASE AND DESIST IMMEDIATELY. A suit I would likely not win against a major corporation.

If it weren't for PeerGuardian, I would have dropped out in 2001.

Virginia allows concealed weapons. I don't fear the streets of a VA city the way I fear the streets of DC...

A good sticker to put on your back door is one that is a picture of a gun which says "Nothing in this house is worth your life." Home invasions are typically done during business hours in america, nowadays, because people are scared of being shot.

They should be. I have a right to shoot someone in my own house. Technically, I have to be cornered to do so. That can be arranged.
