  14. The story is fake. I've done a few searches for this online now, and found nothing. With so many people participating, there would be something still available on the internets, even taken the time since it happened into consideration. Disclaimer: I am a Norwegian who lives in Norway. NONE of the money they put into the oil fund is coming back to us EVER. I have to pay 51% tax rates on my business. The state won't help me with anything, and has so far been mostly unprofessional with me by wasting my time with trying to get me to pay more tax than I should because they cannot even do the bare minimum of their jobs. I've spent years fighting the government's unfair treatment of SMEs here, and it seems they are simply betting on me not knowing the law, so I succumb and pay ludicrous taxes on what little I earn. I spent two years in abject poverty thanks to the government here. The punish the enterprising ones through taxes, and reward the lazy by giving them unlimited welfare.

That, and also stop the unending bowing to foreign influence like the UN and the EU. Our government does not represent us anymore. The oil/pension fund is investing more abroad than it does in Norway's own population. Everything the politicians do is to safeguard themselves, and it doesn't matter who we vote for because they all support higher taxes and less personal responsibility. No politician here has ever faced corruption consequences, or any consequences for that matter. It is a system that is no different from what it was before 1814. The problem was that once all the people who made our constitution in 1814 died, the government went back to its pre-constitution ways, except now it puts anyone but those paying taxes up front.
