Why are you so content with being in an abusive relationship? There are no benefits of using a phone as it is now. It is designed entirely to control your life.

They call them smartphones but they behave like dumbphones, making the user and everyone else involved dumber. They are designed to keep you dumb. The novelty of the name "smartphone" has worn off a long time ago.

Being able to pay anonymously is the only reason I defend physical cash. Fuck those paranoid individuals that need to know exactly where you are at any time. This is just like an abusive relationship, except it is the government doing it. If you defend this practice, just die.

  9. Where are all the NYC billionaires to help out? on NYC Subway, Bus Services Have Entered 'Death Spiral,' Experts Say (theguardian.com) · · Score: 0, Flamebait

I thought NYC was the city where the rich helped the poor, and where those with a lot of money would donate to causes like this, as well as getting management help to make sure the resources are spent correctly, and frequent audits before things go wrong to make sure you stay ahead.

Or maybe the NYC isn't the utopia it claims to be?

  15. This won't work. As long as Bezos gets to operate, everything can be seen as a bribe. What needs to happen is to physically restrain him, preferably together with Sanders, in a confined area, below ground.

  16. We need a better model for use of music on How 'Grand Theft Auto' Is Changing the Way the World Experiences Music (rollingstone.com) · · Score: 2

Too much music is legally bound up in what RIAA and whomstelse of music companies decide to tightly clasp to their chests to keep people from using.

If you want to use their music for your own work, even if it is for free, they'll still do whatever they can to take it down and make life painful for you. Yet, no one asked the artists themselves.

I know that for some smaller indie artists if people use their music to promote something or just because it fits well, it will mean a lot to them. This usually happens when someone with little money wants to do something to pay tribute in some way, as they have their own bills to pay. At least many now have the decency to include the name of the artist and the song, but hell no if you are to use big record companies' music anywhere unless you are part of their agenda.
