DVD's will cost more to rent than VHS tapes regardless of how expensive it is for the rental chains to purchase them.
DVD's cost the same as VHS's at the video store I work at (Hy-Vee) $2.64 for a new release ($1.53 after 7:00 on weeknights) and $1.05 for an old release (which you get to keep for five days.

    Do people actually rent DVD's?
Yes, almost half of the movies we rent are DVD's, and this is in rural, technology deprived Iowa.

no, but it is psychologically addicting. and considering i failed two classes while trying to quit (impossible to concentrate, massive headaches, throwing up, etc) i think there is some merit. i admit it isn't nearly as bad as some addictions, but a hell of a lot bigger deal than being addicted to computer games. i'm sorry but "i can't stop playing computer games because i enjoy playing them" is not as bad as "i threw up blood today and have had a massive headache for two weeks."

    thanks

have you ever tried the "cold turkey" method with something a little more serious than a computer game? i tried it with weed, i never felt worse in my life and am now into it worse than before i started, all because of the wonderfull "cold turkey" method.

i work in a video store, the reason a ssn is required is: if someone steals a video the cops wont go after or allow procecution unless there is a ssn or drivers licence #. We use ssn's because they are less likely to be fake (it's insane how many fake ids there are).

the only thing i see wrong with that is the fact that when the plane starts to land the hijackers may start killing passangers/flight attendants. It would avert the sort of disaster seen yesterday, but we would be in similar (well, slightly less) a state of rage that we are in now, except we would be less likely to punish the organizers.

Within each chapter, as within each post, there are verses that are simply there to hold it together--and which can be toned down as not important for whole message.
can a religious person honestly say that any WORD OF GOD (that being all of the bible) is unimportant "fluff?" While the posts on slashdot are sometimes made by drunken nerds who need to be outside more often, you cannot compare these posts with the word of god and the foundation of a religion.
