Why does it seem like MySQL suffers from slashdotting more than any other DB backend?

...I guess they should have actually BOUGHT their software:D
All Linux companies uses Realname. Why use Google for this when realnames does this so well from the IE address bar - Slashdot uses it (ie. type in "slashdot" in the address bar in IE then click Go).
Wait a second...then this would be a story giving kudos to Microsoft. Never mind, I'll put my blinders back on.
Add rabiid Linux zealot statement as Enum!

Hate Microsoft but cant think for yourself? If you're like me, you want to
gripe and whine about Big Bill but dont want to waste time entering the same
tired comments over and over again. So just start replying with numbers! Here's
the key!
= They just copied Apple!
= I hope they really get it good because of their monoplist practices
= So typical of Microsoft to ship code with (bugs, security holes, bad
breath)
= Users are idiots, only smart people like coders know that Microsoft is
bad because we've can quote Monty Python at will.
= I'm going to change their name to Micro$oft, MicroSerf, M$, to get
moderated as funny but I'm only copying some loser on OSOpinion
= Microsoft did it wrong because it doesnt have a (command line, Linux port, Linus's blessing)
= How dare they charge money for software! Its like they're running a business or something!
Pathetic Linux automatons. Microsoft employees, Bill Gates and the corporation itself give away millions of dollars in cash, time, and (yes) software and all you can do is sound like the lame sheep you are.
Cruel, cruel, Microsoft. You should be ashamed at all that you give away. You should be more like Sun, AOL, and Novell and keep it in the company so that MS bashers have even more to cry about.

That's great. I mean, I was going to buy Windows but then I saw that Lindows included Sun crap hole software and it was like - wow!
Most of us choose to use Microsoft products because we choose to do so (how's that for a reality?)
If it was Cowboy Neal in his garage making them out of tin cans would you say the same thing?
I dont know, seems more like a Shelbyville idea to me.
Look at the Mexican deployment of Linux. Try shipping CDs without support and you'll see that no one deploys the damn things.

Historical note: Slashdot never announced the release of Windows 2000 (but hey, Redhat 7.1.0
.1.1.12.2.a is always a great post!)
Man, it was great. I put the entire CD in there and it booted in about 3 minutes (with the config set to "medium". Amazing.

Paying for someone's hard work? Man, that's just not the Linux way...
