It's psychologically easier to hate bitcoin as a technologically inclined person than to admit to oneself that they missed a big opportunity to get rich quick. Perhaps if one could let go of this notion and look deeper into how the protocol functions, one might change ones mind.

That's old hat. Virtual currency is getting widespread adoption. You can buy almost anything with it at this point if you know what your doing.

If you truly understand digital currencies then you support them. If you do not understand them, you dislike and distrust them. Do more research.
