So, have you ever sent an email that was incoherent due to bad spelling and/or grammar? If so, you wasted someone else's time. Don't you understand this is a *BAD THING* ?
Not sure if you're insinuating that it SHOULD run under X since it is called Xnews or....(and I find this to be true) just about any app that starts with "X" sucks UI-wise. Online identities excluded.
It's really not as difficult as you think. Honestly I do it often and while it is aggrivating because you can't get up without telling 5 people "BRB".
The strange thing is...I *DONT* multi-task well but I can do that well. I think it's because my mutlitasking problems come from forgetting to do what I was doing before task X popped up. With multiple IM conversations though, you have visual and audible notifications.
Wasn't aware I was using a tactic against you...sorry.
You said "I've never used firefox" then "I have never been able to get anyone to switch to Firefox from IE". Not contradicting yourself, but certainly sounded like you were spewing BS (that being someone who hasn't used something has tried to convince others to use it and failed to do so...meaning what?).
If you mis-stated yourself, why are you being so hostile to me?
Sounds like a troll to me. First you say that you've never used Firefox once and then you say you've never been able to get anyone to switch to Firefox from IE. Because it looks "flimsly" and "doesn't have an email client". That's wonderful logic....
My understanding was this...for the signature portion at least...
Sender/Signer: Hash message -> encrypt with private key (TO public key implied..)
Recipient: Unencrypt transmitted encrypted hash with public key -> hash original cleartext message -> compare
in that case the encryption would be a necessary step to the signature. Is my understanding of digital signatures (PGP at least) wrong or did I mis-interpet your post? Could you provide me with a link if so?
Or, if PGP signatures fall under "plain-vanilla RSA signatures" then what other types of signatures are we talking here?
I tried to RTFA, am still trying actually. I keep refreshing the page but it keeps telling me it timed out. It's strange. Almost as if everyone from Slashdot who was viewing the article lagged the hosting server so much that it is unable to respond to requests.
Not unless the old password is stored in cleartext somewhere and the new password is transmitted in cleartext (well, not in hash form at leasst) over the wire...both of which are additional weaknesses....the first one being much worse than having similar passwords IMHO.
I'll admit that Winamp5 is more bloated than 2.x, but it's a very good player. Have you tried it? Don't let Winamp3 turn you off to it...I think that's why most people haven't tried Winamp5. Winamp5 is a VERY nice player. Great media catalog, skinning, and not buggy like 3 was.

"I want to believe." bumper stickers for sale....cheap...want some?
"Hilarity ensues." ??? WTF is this, fark?
I love that post.

yea, right. I'm not falling for that one. again
Downloading does not constitute switching....

Well if 10,000 years is all it's going to take to run out then I don't see how this is even worth it.

Forget it, I don't care.
Practically, it's called Apache...

Well yea, I agree with your original point (should've said that) but was just nitpicking your numbers....my bad...=)
Average iPod is probably closer to 20gig. Less actually when you consider mini's....
And it's foolish to think that all iPods (or even half) are full or even close to it.
Sorry, try again.

He's talking about Creative, not Apple.
I don't think Creative is selling all they can produce currently.
You would know me as George Orwell, but maybe I have the wrong kaustik (kaustic)....my bad if so.
There's a familar face. Hope you're holding up well.
Perhaps his favorite is PA and he understands there there is no universal "favorite" since that's subjective...

Has anyone ever heard of that before?
to clarify: not "cleartext" but rather in encrypted OR cleartext. Neither is good. A password hash is best.

Try Winamp5...much better media cataloging.
I still catalog my music in WMP though, because it will download the ablum art automatically.
