Be wary of "any ol' bob's" android distro. Try to stay mainstream and stay up to date. If you're not using bluetooth, turn it off. If your vendor's version of Android isn't as secure as it could be complain with much loudness, if you don't get satisfaction switch vendors.
Your Wifi issues seem to me to be related more to your AP than the devices themselves. Perhaps try a different AP/Router?
I'm not sure how you could be sure a hack is causing a Wifi error. Even if it popped up and said "Hi! Your wifi is disabled because we're haxoring you" I'd be skeptical. You should try some of the mainstream android support forums with that and see what they say.
Uhh, *you* may not be able to type on a tablet quickly, but I can bust out some verbage with decent speed. Certainly well enough that I don't feel the need to go hunting for a 'physical' keyboard.
I doubt seriously this is a 'cyclic fad', they may not replace Desktop computers in whole, but there is a market and its not going away anytime soon.
But then they would get smart, want rights, form an army. We'll eventually be forced to black out the sun due to their mystical use of solar energy. Which will lead to them enslaving the human race and utilizing our comatose bodies as batteries.
Some analyst somewhere just got canned. Hard core canned to like "You don't even get to keep the stuff on your desk GTFO"... like thrown from a window canned.
I'm not affiliated with any religion, I just noticed a large flame war waging, and wish you guys would get over yourselves. There are more important things for which we should utilize our mental resources, centuries old religious debates should be at the bottom of the list.
Just because I disagree with your bashing doesn't mean I'm 'religious people'.
Publish the names, but only in connection with each of the 150 charges that would be brought against the Johns... Don't just publish the list and disallow them an attempt at defense.
Sure they are on tape, and their names are on record - but they STILL have rights, and are still innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
A list doesn't wholly prove guilt. A tape doesn't wholly prove guilt. The court decides who is guilty and it is based on ALL the evidence presented.
In a perfect world a patent system would protect the 'little guy' who invented something awesome and wants to safely 'shop it around' to the 'big guys' who have the potential to release it. It should be a tool that allows and promotes the drive to 'get something patented' for mere mortals.
Like I said, what we've got is a far cry from what a patent system should be... and this is probably not the best way to make any good changes but it is a step.
They can come up with something that will keep the patent BS from happening... I understand a need for some form of patent system, but what we've got and what we need are dramatically different things.
It's a step... but it's a long way from a step in the right direction.

I should so write a book series about that...
Wall-E
for "Minority Report" style newspapers....
That'd be awesome.

And that's about all you'll be able to do with it, because its not like there are any Apps for it.
And nobody wants to have to add and remove cards all the time...
My vote is that Samsung is lining someone's pockets.

For an 'open minded' group, you guys sure do like religious bashing. I am ashamed to call you fellow nerds. Grow the fuck up.

One giant privacy breach anyway. I mean seriously, they churn your personal lives into gold.
Not much right now, but SOMEDAY they will churn your personal lives into gold.

Hitler is a fixed point in time and thus cannot be killed.
I wonder if 521 years is how long we'll be waiting for Half Life 3?
Nobody has scientifically disproved time travel yet... we may yet get to see dinosaurs alive!
Even further:
The patent squabbles will make absolutely none of this a reality.
Except maybe the massive tracking portion, but that will only be accessible by the government..
