    Always use the right tool for the project. One language can't do it all well. If you narrow it down to two or three languages and pick one or two IDEs that can do these languages, that will cut down on problems.

    Figure out naming standards and using source control would help quite a bit.

    ...It doesn't matter if they sign off on it and you charge them double for "extra features". There is always something they forgot about. All you can do it learn to design your program so you can make changes easier.

    I would NOT want my pay stub on the internet. Yes, what I make is public, but there is a process in which said information is given. It must be requested and then they are given only the information that is requested.

    I am not sure if it is free but BluBrry was talking about providing a hosting option. I am pretty sure it isn't available yet. If you contact them, they might be able to give you more information. Oh... and they DON'T automatically insert ads.

    Sticking to the topic, I played Ever Crack for a while on PS2. While I liked to play, I couldn't afford the monthly fee. I would play for $0.50 per hour or something like that. If I play for more than 20 hours per month... then that is money ahead for company. The game would have to be really good for me to consider paying higher. Or another idea is $1 per 24-hour period.

    One problem with this, most new computers (at least for us) all have USB keyboards and mice. That wouldn't work in this case then.

    ...and can only run on a sigle CPU system, and can only have one copy installed...

    How many people run their own webserver? Very few, so they would be unknowingly violating the license.

    ... but once others can install the cgi, then you can help add bandwidth. I do see a problem with this.

    If you look at the requirements... one is 5Mb connection, who (besides businesses) will have a 5 Mb connection.

    I had to manually update the shipping cost tables for UPS, FedEx, and a couple other companies to about 30 or so systems. Each in a different state, so I couldn't just copy and paste.

    If the PDF is created as a text PDF, that can be modified in notepad. I have modifed one myself once. Not a contract though, and I don't know what the digital signatures would do to it.

    If you computer was infected. It might not have been your fault. It would have been the administrators and helpdesks fault for not keeping the latest patches on the system.
