    I'm not sure which you know less about, the English language or the VW Beetle. The new Beetle has nothing whatsoever to do with the old beyond overall shape and name. Similarly, the iPod connector has nothing to do with the SX-70 port other than overall shape.

    You obviously have a poor grasp of the English language. The 2011 New Beetle was inspired by the 1938 Type 1. But there is not a single part that carries over. You can't even force the engine of one into the other.

    I've always thought it odd that anyone would buy a kindle reader that can't read unencrypted .epub. It's like buying a media player that only plays .aac or .wmv and can't play .mp3. Hmm, remember those?

    Quite relevant for the apple folks, since extra RAM for them (preinstalled) is quite expensive-- can be ~10% of the price of the machine to upgrade the RAM. I think they charge $200 to upgrade to 8GB from 4.

    Your number is correct, at least for the MacBook Pro I was looking at online this morning.

    We already have cops in high schools, given the principals the authority to ruin the lives of high school students on the slightest whimsy, and eroded (if not destroyed outright) any suspicion that these students nearing adulthood actually have any rights while ensuring the parents have no actual responsibility for their child's eventual success or failure.

    At my High School they still require Seniors who are 18 years old to get their parents signature for things like report cards and for signing out of school.

    And when I was 18 and they tried that, I told them they were full of crap. If one can buy smokes, enter into a legal contract, be tried as an adult, and drafted, I can sure as shit sign myself out of school.
