my Wife answered and I was not at home. She knows better than to do anything on the computer without me so she luckily didn't follow their command. However, when I got home she rode my a$$ all night long to "fix" her computer because she believed them that there was something wrong. She didn't believe me until I showed here many posts on the internet about these trolls and even then she wanted me to check out here computer and make sure everything was ok.... gees
Wonder if this FM chip has the ability to tune to the NOAA weather frequencies? The GPS in the phone could be used to figure out the S.A.M.E. code and automagically tune to the correct freq and provide alerts when the cell towers are down???
I live in a rural area too. My mother-in-law had a stroke a few years back. By the time the ambulance got there, loaded her up, started the IV, and got to the hospital, the time had elapsed to give her whatever that anti-stroke drug is. Now she's paralyzed on her left side. Don't tell me distance isn't a factor...
I still have a couple high-end cassette recorders that haven't seen use for at least 20 years. That was the thing back in what the 80's? I used to buy blank metal tape and record all my albums onto cassette to listen to in the car. That was bitchin' quality back then... until CDs came out which pretty much killed cassettes for cars.
Maybe I will have the chance to sell these recorders for something...
For of those in need of an SGI history lesson, the SGI currently in business is not quite the same SGI (Silicon Graphics) of old. Remember that Rackable Systems acquired Silicon Graphics back in 2009 for like $20M I think? And they turned around and renamed Rackable to SGI.
..On a different note, who were the people still buying SGI to give them a half billion revenue? What exactly do they sell - it's not like one can buy Irix based workstations or servers anymore, or even Linux ones, from what I understand.
Remember, SGI is not the SGI of old. Rackable bought SGI (Silicon Graphics) and the renamed the company SGI. So I imagine most of the product line was heritage Rackable?
The shop I work at is about 50% US workforce and about 50% off-shore. If this goes through, our shop will turn into a 0% US workforce and 100% off-shore...
To you get to keep this watt-a-box after you have eaten your food? The article is not clear on that point. If not then it's not that practical. For fast food, I sit around 20min to eat. That's not very long on the charger. Probably give you 10-15% battery maybe? But if you get to keep this box then that must jack up the price???

Am I mistaken or didn't Facebook buy Snapchat? How can Snapchat be Facebook's rival app if Facebook owns Snapchat?
Facebook offered to buy Snapchat for a reported $3B but the offer was rejected by Snapchat CEO...

... FirstNet will provide 20MHz of high-value, telecommunications spectrum ...
Anybody know what frequency range this spectrum is in?

And yet it was the Dems that let ICANN go Public Domain...

We skipped over 8 track. When is that going to be cool again?
I'm waiting. I still have a Marantz 8-track recorder in mothballs waiting for its comeback...
we'll see...
Keating Five
Irexit?
And like CB Radio the fad will disperse eventually and we'll move on to the next thing...
I guess I'm just an old fart because back in my day there was no "campus". That building WAS Silicon Graphics...
I thought the old SGI building was now the Computer History Museum...

Too many of those LOL Cheeseburgers will clog your computer's arteries, causing a kernel panic!
So will popcorn
Stop acting as if she killed someone...
2012 Benghazi attack...
Can you provide some details as to why this would happen and how?
Pretty simple really. Our shop isn't going to fork out 100K/year for US talent when off-shore talent is about 1/2 the cost...
The shop I work at is about 50% US workforce and about 50% off-shore. If this goes through, our shop will turn into a 0% US workforce and 100% off-shore...
I refuse to update Facebook since they took away the Widget function. It will be a cold day in Hades lair before I update Facebook...
If they found no bias, why are they adding the training?
Well since it was announced from the top I would suspect it's a total PR move for Facebook...
