Also, the PRISM stuff is whistle blowing, but is the other stuff? I don't think so. That's what spies do. They spy on other spies. You think Germany doesn't have lines into the US embassy there? Don't be naive.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 1: The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.
worst case, this judgment is thrown out and there's another trial where apple wins even more money. sammy should stop while they're not too far behind!
Yes, but OSX comes with the terminal, which gives you a cli (command line interface - what you use with unix). This is in addition to the gui (graphical user interface).
The's another dynamic here. Imagine if you're a brick and mortar store trying to compete with amazon. Not only do they have low overhead, high volumes, etc, but they have a 10% price break from no sales taxes. How can you compete with that? this levels the playing field a little bit. Inb4 brick and mortar is a fail: remember that they provide al people jobs in California, so if we can make brick and mortar more competitive with online (at least by removing artificial barriers) then it is good for the state.
You could poll the people on the list and ask them what apps they have installed. Look for commonalitiles. This should be pretty easy to do; you have all their contact info.
you know, I'm surprised by the argument in the article? everybody on/. says that linux isn't an OS, it's an umbrella with plenty of related OSs in there. i include OSX under that umbrella. it's all about the kernel, amirite?
I could not find any evidence on the internet that it takes over iphones, and given the security structure of iOS and how it limits multitasking to certain scenarios, I fail to see how it could. evidence or it didn't happen.
OH no they used the round corners that are claimed to be innovated and owned by Apple..!!
did you even bother to look at the link? the 820 has barely rounded corners (bezel is rounded, but front plate is square), while the 920 is right angles. there's more than one way to build a phone!
I'm on VMo, and most of their options are POS androids. They have an iPHone but they're like $500. If they had a sub$200 windows phone, I would jump at it. I'm not invested in the android ecosystem, except for angry birds.
True story - I downloaded a game called "plumber pipes" or something like that, where you connected pipe pieces from one end to the other. It had "targeted" ads - they were all for pipes and plumbing equipment!
cmon man, don't harsh on me. OP said he wants an iphone but doesn't want to pay money to apple, and I was just offereing suggestions. perhaps he could ask his friends to buy him itunes gift cards, so he could buy apps without paying money.
Dude, this is an internal domestic matter. Unless you want to get in a big fight through asylum, stfu and butt out.

The only true evil in the world today is the Taliban. Everything else is hyperbole.

What bothers me and most of the iOS users is the subtext.

yup, another patent for an obvious idea. maybe next they'll patent the voice to unlock. "my voice is my passport. verify me."

ice. or a frozen lunch pack. done and done.
Umm, iOS, not OSx? Also, macs have very few viruses.
Ad hominem much? You know, it really takes away from the power of your argument... So do typos/grammos.
