dude, it's a joke. because of how the risk board was laid out, Kamchatka was a huge strategic piece. Holy shit he has 25 armies on Kamchatka! I'm fucked now! Anybody who learned geography from Risk knows about Kamchatka.
you would think that the shills on this thread would be pro-ukraine-govt. why would protestors need a shill, they would be the default hero on slashdot. it could be that this is a shill for NSA, which is really a tangential topic to the story at hand. if I were an NSA shill I would save my comments and mod points for stories that are actually about NSA.
another funny thing about the chart is that 10% of the time spent making it went into documenting facts about repression, and 90% went into making a slick infographic about it.
the cell phone has a unique identifier, but isn't directly tied to a person. If you're NSA you can suss out who the person is by looking at every number that cell phone calls, and every number they call. But the Ukraine can't do that. what they CAN do is blast out an ominous SMS to all cell phones connected to a particular tower. Rather powerful troll technique actually... think of the possibilities!
my understanding is this isn't a big deal. it would be bad if they used cell phone data to determine who was in the vicinity, recorded the names, and sent a threatening SMS. What's more likely is they set up a few fake cell phone towers and blasted out a SMS to people whose phones joined that tower. They probably weren't trackeng / don't have the capability to process actual dell pohone data.
dude, the drugs don't help you fight the disease. your body is already kicking the disease's ass. when you feel "bad" its a side effect of your body crushing it. drugs (OTC drugs) take the sting off of your body kicking butt. by supressing that sting you don't suppress the body ninja fighting.
so if your body is slicing heads and dicks anyway, why feel bad about it?
that's cool. then spend 10x longer wasting time futzing with your computer. Do the math of up front cost, ongoing time investments, and value of time to determine which purchase is best for you.
the US govt owns the internet. the only way to use it is to assume it's a military installation and you have guest access. Are you saying that the US GOVT should decide what's acceptable? how would this apply to other countries? It's irrelevant to me because I don't acknowledge any entity that claims ownership over me.
Wrong and wrong. The FAA / FCC comment was insightful although I confused the xray machine with the nudie scanners. the point still applies. forest and trees, man.
for the theatre thing, first off talking ~ texting, both are annoying to people but are nothing to be shot over. second, no evidence of a physical confrontation. third, the guy could have gotten a manager at any point. the manager could have resolved it easily with no deaths. stand your ground is an offense to human dignity.
Except the part where the EU has nothing waiting in the wings that comes anywhere near to the package Google offers. Lets face it, Google cutting off the EU would bring the continent to its knees for months and months.
Yandex couldn't possibly scale fast enough, and the EU threatening Yandex with silly fines could see great segments of the EU suddenly without enough gas to warm a teapot.
bing hasn't been tested yet as an option, and there's always duckduckgo. surely THAT search meets their privacy expectations!
Don't rag on my comment man. 2 truths and an assumption. "That video is not helpful at all." Truth. Self evident to anyone who watches the video "Also the site is a blatant rip off of YouTube." Truth. Not just the "internet video sharing" thing. I mean the site name, logo design, and other obvious stuff. "I'm sure my computer just got owned." Probably true. Although to be fair it was probably owned already by NSA and the chinese govt too. But now it has more mundane malicious viruses.
I'm not blaming you for the crappy video. You're right that's the best they had, and I don't see how it qualifies as "video evidence". Call me a reality-oriented observer of the natural world and shared human experience, but I don't see a hill of beans here.
can anybody find a link to the actual video? I followed the link in the summary but got to a series of other pages about the video, but not the video itself.
Really? How do you know his nationality? The Roma minority is 3.3 % in Romania. He would have better changes of being hungarian..
an interesting blank box...the summary says "romanian bitcoin billionaire". so is he romainian by nationality, that is, he was born in the state of Romania, or is he romanian by heritage (i.e. gypsy) meaning that regardless of where he was born, his parents are of romanian heritage.
metered TV would be awesome. 90min/day more than meets my needs. By definition a TV can only show 24 hours a content a day, regardless if you have 1 channel or 1000. bonus if the plan were set up to include overages at a reasonable cost, like $0.50 per hour beyond 90 mins. i would sign up for that in a heartbeat.
wait are you saying it's made OF people?
thanks for the spoiler alert.

I thought it was Kamchatka

When you're sick enough to (feel you) need medication, stay at home.
Don't spread germs all over the workplace / auditorium / public mass transport.
that's why I drive alone in my SUV to work and am hostile in my cubicle so nobody bothers me.

you are a troll and are trying to incite me to anger by being difficult. guess what I do not respond to trolls.
> Romanian (i.e. gypsy)
These are different things. Perhaps you are confusing 'Rroma' with 'Romanian'?
did you read my post? obv not. btdubs the plural of roma is Romanian. it's different than the country! pay attention!

Answer: I hope so! I certainly haven't seen any around here; I'd like to think that it exists somewhere.
Q: "What's your least favorite thing about humanity?"
A: [insert the name of a subset of the population]. Interview = exploded.
