    energy != electricity. please read again. obviously electricity is the right baseline here, since wind farms produce electricity not gasoline.

    well guess what I'm in SV too and I don't know any tech companies where hindi or mandarin is spoken on site. there's outsourcing of course... but they're elsewhere.

    so that's why i conclude that he works in fast food and his colleagues speak spanish. prove me wrong.

    hmm.. google used to be about the android ecosystem... they made the OS for everybody, and were vendor agnostic. Now they want to sell their own devices at the expense of their competitors. Who is their main competitor? Apple? NOT! It's Samsung. In america's eyes, samsung == android. Note that the "gotta hold it" excuse doesn't apply to any other android manufacturer - they're in best buy, carriers, etc. This is a hardware power play, to make sammy quake. But it is really google that is quaking, did you see the reports that sammy will install its own os? america just wants galaxy phones, not nexus or htc or anybody else.

    In all greek tragedies, you always knew the ending and the major events. the form is so settled that everybody knows the structure. This is true for shakespearian tragedies as well. The enjoyable part is how you get there.

    The prequels had every flaw in Lucas's inabilities with plotting and dialogue that the old films did, but magnified many times over.

    there is so much self-lies here whenever there is an anti-google story. Peeps tie themselves into knots making it not goog's fault. fact: goog passed my private info to a third party, just because I bought a clock app. I didn't know this! If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the clock app! It's like when goog hacked safari to bypass privacy controls.

    for a company that is "don't be evil", they've been fined by the FTC what, three times now? and settled an antitrust organization. open your eyes, peeps!

    more fud and whisper campaigns... but the thing the GP doesn't understand, when a large entity makes a big purchase like this, they do a long procurement process looking at all options. so your fud may convince a mom to buy samsung at att, but when examined closely, it doesn't hold up well in the harsh light of scrutiny.
