No - it's more like dropping a small block Chevy 383 stroker engine into a 2-door fiat. You can squeeze one in there, but you might want to use a restrictor plate to limit its power.
Go to BestBuy. They've got a whole shelf of what they call "ultrabooks" for under about $500-$600. Although they just look like smaller laptops or bigger netbooks to me. Not even very light-weight. I think the term ultrabook was pretty quickly co-opted by the marketing folks.
how many of the folks that come on here to blather on and on about politics, religion, global warming, abortion, drug use, etc are actually paid shills from a political party or some weird activist group. And how many just can't help themselves. I'm not choosing sides - I'm just amazed at the enormous amount of highly questionable data that gets tossed back and forth in these discussions, and I'm even more amazed at how many AC's (and others) act in perfect lock-step with each other on their data. I wouldn't be surprised to find someone(s) is either getting paid (or hoping to) in order to spend so much time making silly arguments on/.
I know this has been discussed before, but it's just an interesting phenomenon to me. OK - back to your regularly scheduled save-the-world/no-don't-save-the-world/no-screw-you-I'll-save-the-world-if-I-want-to flame-war.
$5.67 - if this keeps up, it will be one of their lowest 5 averages. Probably a ton of people are just paying the $1 minimum. Should have tried to include more platforms.
I think it's unlikely. Mercury's surface temperatures fluctuate wildly. 400+ Celsius during the day and as low as -200 celsius at night.
Vin Diesel could live there just fine with a dagger, a short bit of rope, and a pair of dark goggles. AFTER he killed you with his coffee cup, that is...
Wouldn't loss of sales have more to do with all the crappy reviews for this product? Cnet user reviews have been destroying the thing since 2004 -- five years before "the Chinese" supposedly crashed his online sales.
..."Now, to conclude with the Internet device section here, I want to show you something truly remarkable, which is, Google Maps on iPhone. I hit our maps application here and it’s coming up. And it shows us North America, and I’m going to go to Moscone West. That’s where we are right now. And here we are. Boom. That’s where we are. Now, what I’m going to do, is I’m going to go look for something. I’m going to certainly want a cup of coffee afterwards, so I’m just going to look for Starbucks, right? Starbucks, so I’m going to search for Starbucks, and sure enough, there’s all the Starbucks. Now, I can get a list of Starbucks here, and I can pick that one if I want, and I can even go look at that Starbucks, and there it is, and let’s give them a call."
"Good morning, Starbucks, how can I help you?"
"Yes, I’d like to order 4,000 lattes to go, please. No, just kidding, wrong number. Thank you. Bye-bye. OK."..."
All my Apple preinstalled software is fully functional. On my windows machines if I click on a text file it defaults to Word informing me I need to purchase the software. There's been a reader installed forever but it isn't the default anymore the non functional preview install of Word is the default. It's one of many reasons I weaned myself off Windows and I'm almost exclusively Mac now.
It's probably a good thing that you "weaned" yourself off Windows. Wouldn't want to learn something impossibly difficult like how to change default programs. That could take all of 4 mouse clicks.
Have you considered making the one change to Ubuntu which would give it explosive desktop growth overnight - making it Android compatible, and making Android apps run in desktop mode?
I still find that for sheer ability to work on nearly any system and those with minimal resources, it's an excellent idea to keep a Mint 10 LXDE live DVD laying around. Darn thing will run on just about anything. It's practically become my new Knoppix.
The KDE gang was wise enough to tell everyone not to use the early 4.x series until it was more mature. Not that many people listened.

Samsung series 9 looks pretty nice.
KDE is too cluttered and bloaty. I've never used a retina display but since you can use Compiz/Emerald sans any pixmaps this should be moot.
So? Unclutter and un-bloat it. Whats the problem?
Agreed - KDE. And be sure to get some good fonts and set the precisely. Go with the Droid font package - those are very high quality.
Apple hates you. The entire company. Seething, festering hatred.

as a parent. Congrats. And good job of standing up to the Therapeutic State.
Yes - because no one over the age of 14 would ever mistakenly type "their" instead of "there" or dislike Justin Bieber

That's what a middlefart looks like in the Antarctica sunshine.
That sound overhead is the mid-morning flight from Antarctica to Middlefart...
Which would you rather be?
At least for my work. I'm down to about 5 pages a month and could probably get by with none in a pinch.
WTF does FF18 have to do with Welsh pork liver patties? Idiot.

For production machines, you would use the Long Term Support version, which currently comes with 5 years of support.

All religious and geopolitical problems solved in one hour or less. And still plenty of time to get Gangnam Style over 800 million views.
