cops should obviously be recording and recorded at all times. this will make sure that they are not abusing their power. we live in an age where we should expect everything we do in public to be visible on the internet eventually. i dont see any issue with cops being able to record everything they see in public. at least if every cop has video, fewer criminals will get away with crime due to ridiculous reasons.
they are strategically putting fiber into places in areas where a few conditions are met: 1. cheaper infrastructure. 2. strategically placed for expansion(i.e. compass directions first... kansas was north, austin is south... dunno where the east and west will be yet). 3. a place where they can shut down an existing company(the idea here isnt to take over the internet, as they are not making any money from the fiber atm, but to get all the other companies to drop their prices to reasonable levels).
this is actually false. the majority of roads now are privately owned, or privately built. this is especially the case with highways. almost all of them are funded privately, thats why they are tollways. that being said, they are SUPPOSED to relinquish control to the government after the tolls pay for the highway construction... but they never do.
so what if they are allowed to teach it? i bet if you looked through all those green ones and saw how many ACTUALLY TEACH it, you would find that the numbers are much much smaller
well, it doesnt look like you tweaked the sentence grammar at all. all i can see you did is waste your time, as capitalization on the first character in a sentence is pointless, and so is putting apostrophes on contractions. neither of which take away from the sentence's meaning, so there is no reason to modify them.
you obviously dont understand what they are trying to do here. they are trying to make it harder for shit teachers to become unfireable. right now, once a professor gains tenure, it becomes ridiculously hard to fire him/her. in other words, once you gain tenure, you basically cant be fired for any reason short of breaking the law. the current regulations allow for crap teachers to continue teaching even when their students do not learn anything of value. this lawsuit is trying to change that by allowing newer professors to stay in and have the crap professors get fired first.
this is the opposite experience from what ive had. i have never had any issues with amd cards on linux... but every time i try to do things with nvidia on linux i run into problems. it is possible that my issue is simply nothing other than the drivers not being very good for the newer nvidia gpu, but nonetheless, ive never had a good experience with nvidia on linux
i meant the OS... had to reinstall. in fedora, normally it would be as easy as yum install, but it wont install while you have any other drivers currently on. if you want to install it, you have to turn off graphical mode and install it... but then it will tell you that it cant because of some stupid file somewhere, which you then have to go modify.... then if you try and install it again after modifying, it will install... but alas, now you cant boot up. you will get stuck on the loading page for fedora, so you go back to the text mode and try to revert your changes and go back to what you had before, and if that doesnt work you have to reinstall the os again.
linux hates the proprietary nvidia drivers...i once spent a day trying to install those... i was successful in bricking my computer 3 times before i gave up. i never did manage to actually install the drivers.
well, specifically, they wouldnt be getting the funds for each one they pass, or each one they fail, but each one that comes to their desk. if they each get 20 patents per year for 200k$, they are much more likely to actually do the work.
that 200k does not go to the person doing the patents... likely the patent reviewer is hired at minimum wage, or close to it, and he has absolutely no reason to care. our system would be much better if the people doing the reviews actually got the full cost of the patent application.
this is true, however, in the eyes of the government, it is simply 'spies release information to other governments, and whistleblowers release information to the public'. the government reallly doesnt see any difference between them, because the government's power is threatened by both.
just want to point out that the reason the hindenburg had so many problems was that they cut down on expenses by using hydrogen instead of helium to fill the blimp... of course hydrogen is incredibly flammable, while helium is not.
sure it would be true if you still went outside and talked with others while you were sick.... generally speaking, if you are so sick that you need to take medicine to feel better, you would be in your room all day. your chances of coming into contact with someone else while you are taking the medicine(and still have the flu) are slim to none.
anyone with any mind at all would be able to turn the features on. there is no reason for a manufacturer to pay for the parts and put them in if people are not going to pay for them.
just going to point out that google charges 70$ a month for 1000mbit/s, and all of japan and korea also have fiber for roughly the same price. most of western europe pays 30 euros/month for 200+mbit.
we have one of the most expensive/slowest internet connections in the first world, if not THE most expensive. it is ridiculous that our government allows this kind of bullshit. it isnt just in rural areas that this occurs... it also happens in city districts where the city has a contract with an internet provider to where it is the only one that ppl can get in an area. Our university falls under this category... we are in the middle of a city, but the only internet we can get in the area is time warner... and they use this to totally screw everyone over. we pay almost 30$ a month for 5mbit internet.... and it has a shitty connection.
the problem is that we are seeing an increase in sites that will pop up with a separate page and wont let you see ANY content until you stop using an adblocker. luckily those are mostly used on bad sites, but if they ever become popular it will be a problem.
by all gasoline cars, i mean all newer ones.
well... all gasoline cars have electrical components as well...in fact, the number one weight in a car is the wiring for all the electric stuff.

i have not been sent there once.

government jobs. thats about it.

yea, the akmod-nvidia will stop the bootup on fedora 20(at least last time i checked)... it has the same problem.

here i was giving a real suggestion and you have to spoil it with all this sarcasm.

... we should just go back to hanging. rope is much cheaper than all these drugs.
