It would be nice if the industry self regulated and build in some sort of disarm signal sensor so emergency workers can bring drones down. It wouldn't work for custom drones but would work for most cases

Well said. It's almost as if people should do work to get paid. When my boss complains about me being on slashdot all day I can just say well your still using the software I wrote. I forget what band it was but they only see their recordings as promotions to concerts where they make money. You want to support a band, go see them live. Otherwise your supporting an arcane industry based on ripping off artist fans.

  4. You are right. I was thinking in terms of ethnic minorities. The commenter was mixing sex, religion, ethnicity and geographic origin. I was saying the commenter was referring to labels, not specifically minority labels. Implying that Kunedog was being pedantic.

  5. Neither are Muslims. He's obviously meant arguably marginalized group that you can slap a label on.

At what cost? How much of a performance penalty are you willing to take? I think it's a sensible option that's like power management on a laptop. I personally would rather go down to my local phone repair shop, drop $40 on a new battery, and keep my phone going for 2 more years.

I can't agree with you more. Just make sure you're buying a vehicle that will last that long (be wary of non japanese or korean cars). Lately the used car market hasn't been much of a value and loans seem to be better on a new car. 0 to 1% loans are available so you would be foolish to not take a loan. With inflation your actually getting the car at a lower price on the loan.

This guy didn't say women and men are genetically the same so obviously he is a sexist racist. So he must be a conservative, nazi, alt-righter, drumpf supporter.

San Francisco is expensive because a lot of tech companies decided to move there. I know that's why many people pirate. They will buy the digital title through apple or amazon. Then they will download it from TPB in the format they want for whatever device they have. This is especially true for disney titles and media for children where parents want the movies for not connected hand me down phone or tablets.

  18. Gross overpopulation is the reason bay area traffic is so bad. The same reason home and rent prices are so expensive and people have to commute 1-3 hours a day on the road. Also, Oakland is a major shipping port so the the right two lanes are always clogged with semis. Jumping on and off the freeway, only taking up the right lane, is a very minimal impact on traffic.

I'm sure there wasn't the same response from other MacBook Pro releases because they offered clearly better usability. I don't see what "liberals and SJWs and feminists and climate change" has to do with this. Also, what do you mean by "they never figured out how to define themselves by anything positive, only negative"?

The 2500 to 3000 is exactly why they should be included. Nobody would be crying if they included the dongles for SD Card, USB 3.0 hub, Display Port, Magsafe power so that it can be a drop in replacement for last years MacBook pro. The apple tax is crazy high on this round of MacBook pro's and they are still doing the same apple nickel and dimimg. They were smart enough to do it with the phones, I don't know why they won't here.

  21. The issue is the physical escape key. The key's form and feel are important for muscle memory. You shouldn't need to look down to press any key on the keyboard but this strip is going to encourage just that. System admins tend to stay on the keyboard more using shortcuts so things like a physical escape key are important.
