    Not only should we use a period for the fractional part of numbers, we need to drop the comma to separate thousands/etc otherwise the same problem will happen, i.e. not being able to write coordinates, etc.

    In written form, thousands should be separated by a space since commas means a new number is starting.

    And anyway, I think most languages can't handle numbers written in the form "10 000.54" either, so the only proper form really is "10000.54" in the end.

    How hard do you think it would be for ET to convince the world's populations that it is in fact god (especially given the technological advantage), then instruct them to do whatever the hell it wants? ET could be sitting up there in his nice comfy space ship, literally playing god, watching us wage war over each other because it makes for better prime time TV then that shit he's getting on his interstellar space channels.

    And what do you think the current religions are? They've been watching their own private, live RTS game for thousand of years.

    In the near future, there's gonna be a "War Games" happening inside every fucking hardware component of our systems. Over 50% of the energy will be wasted on spyware fighting each other, 45% will be waste heat, 4% will be wasted by non-military tracking by Google/Facebook/etc and only 1% of the energy will go toward actually doing something useful.
