Oh don't mistake my hate for Win8 as the same hate the rest of /. has towards it. I absolutely hate command lines and keyboard shortcuts so their omission or addition won't be noticed by me. It's that damned pastel flat metro layout that sucks. Oh and the charms bar. And the hidden corners and swipes. Pretty much the whole look of the UI (which btw I see /. in IE10 appears to be trying to mimic the flat ugliness of it all). While technically you can now turn it off, it still isn't right and keeps popping up when you need to do stuff. I get to sit here for 8 or 10 hours a night and listen to the guy next to me cuss his new laptop constantly. It just makes no sense where icons and options pop up or where exactly in the menu it is. I'm no Luddite, I'm just waiting out Win8 like I did ME & Vista. Win9 should be epic!

You do in TN. Go ahead and tell them you decline, and they'll automatically assume you're guilty (same as declining a drug test at your job). This law was snuck in and went into effect a couple years ago as far as I can tell. It wasn't always this way. Defense attorneys here would tell you that if you have had just one or 2 drinks, which will probably set off the breathalyzer even though most here know a drink or 2 doesn't make you drunk, to go ahead and decline the breathalyzer and ask for the blood test. You'll head down to the station and waste a couple hours doing paperwork and waiting and by the time they get around to you, you'll pass no prob. This was a response to that tactic, at least that is the official line anyway according to my landlord who's a county mounty.

The US military is hands-down the best in logistics anywhere. We can get more people, with all of their stuff, to any place in the world usually within 72 hours. Given a week or 2, you'll have an entire base or 10 built. Not to mention, who else can deliver piping hot munitions through your front door in 30 mins or less? NO ONE!!!!

Does Amazon mimic the military way of logistics? I dunno, but a smart company would. Hell, they're already getting drones....
