I wrote a forum for by companies website way back around 95. At first I let people pick their own username and passwords. People kept forgetting them and not typing them in the right case.
So I put this text up. "Remember your user name and password are case sensitive." I then had a guy call up asking me to change his user name and password for him. It seems his user name as case and his password was sensitive...
I soon made the website assign your user name and password to you. But then I had people get insulted over their random password...
We are using a CMS now and I have very little to do with it.. Thank goodness.

I think the 47 had at least 200 HP. Not only that but the engine was a nice light aircooled air craft engine.
Not only that but a 47 loaded with four people would be marginal at best and would be flown by an expert military pilot that actually knew how to fly a helicopter.

Sorry I was thinking of just flight instruments. I think of a compass as a navigational aid and the other as engine instruments. I learned to fly sailplanes so engine instruments kind of slipped my mind. Not to mention that was back in high school and I haven't flow since then :) So thanks for filling me in.
But the lack of those instruments in a helicopter will in no way prevent the pilot form killing themselves.

You really don't need any instruments to fly in clear weather. I think the only "required" instruments for VFR flight are an altimeter and airspeed indicator. Lots of hang gliders don't even have those.
In a helicopter seven feet is enough to kill you. Heck you can kill yourself on the ground with just a little bad luck. All it would take is for the transmission to let go and have a 133 HP chain whip through the cabin. Helicopters are complex beasts.

  9. hummm.. on Home-made Helicopters in Nigeria · · Score: 4, Insightful

It may hover in ground effect but I doubt that it can fly out side of it. 133 HP is way under powered for a four seat helicopter. It is a wonderful attempt but I hope he doesn't kill himself. He has talent that is for sure.

"Who gets arrested for recording people without their consent?"
Umm... Just about anyone. Most states have laws on recording a conversation without permission or at least notification.
Why do you think when you call tech support you are informed that "this call may be recorded".

Anyone if they are outlandish enough. If you are ordered by a judge to stop making statements then you can go to jail for making them. In this case they wanted her to be evaluated. Of course things change so both those problems my have changed. Ubuntu Server doesn't suck. I just think that anyone that is setting up a server from scratch should take a look at CentOS. I will say one thing for Ubuntu Server, I liked Ubuntu Sever better than Debian even even though they share a lot of common heritage.

Well I can not answer for Slashdot but I can think of a few reasons I would.
CentOS based off Redhat Enterprise. It favors stability over "new hotness". But unlike Debian it keeps pretty up to date without going to "Testing" or "Unstable". Yes I have used Debian and I am not a big fan. It may have changed so try it for yourself.
I also use OpenSuse daily. Yast is a mixed blessing. I find it very slow and too gui like for a server. I use it on my desktop and several servers in my office. I have years of experience with it. I bet I could set up Yum on Suse but just have not. Yast works in it's own way. The other thing is servercentric packages will be available for RedHat Enterprise first. I have never seen a major server package come out for OpenSuse before RedHat Enterprise. They may come out at the same time but not before. RedHat RPMs will work for CentOS so you benefit from RedHat popularity.
I set up Ubuntu server as a test. I found it to be a big pain. A lot of packages I wanted where not in the repositories so I spent a lot of time compiling stuff and chasing libraries.
For a server I would have to say that when it comes to CentOS the question really isn't "Why" but "why not".

It is going to hit EVERY software company sooner or later.
The main cause of this problem is Microsoft and Windows. The good thing is it is going to hit Microsoft just as hard as every one else.
Every program can only get to be so good and so feature rich. Eventually it becomes a waste to buy the "new version" Many people felt that way with Office 2000 and even more with Office 2003. Same thing will happen with Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver. That and it looks like we are stuck with Windows forever at this point. So people are not buying new versions when they buy a new OS. Microsoft knows that if they break backward computability people will scream. And they do scream. So how do companies make money? The stop selling software and rent it.
Some software is immune to this. Tax software is always going to be great income stream since you have to get a new version every year.
Games because people will always want new games.
But the key thing is that software just doesn't wear out.
I know that the FOSS zealots will start screaming for joy at this but then you have the other problem. The FOSS model doesn't yet provide the same quality in every market as Closed Source does. GIMP is not as good as Photoshop CS btw my wife Loves GIMP and uses it all the time. She does think it is better than Photoshop Elements. OpenOffice is not as good as Office " I do think it is good enough for most people". There no FOSS replacment for Solidworks, ProE, or even TurboCad.
So the industry is has a problem. How do you stay in business? I think the renting of applications is a really BAD solution.
