It would probably help if every time there's a hurricane like Sandy, Katrina, et. al. there wasn't some global warming advocate on TV arguing that this was evidence of global warming. You can't taut every weather event that supports warming as evidence and then turn around and dismiss every weather event that doesn't jibe with the narrative.
Nor do I find the argument that EVERY weather event (extreme, mild, or otherwise) somehow supports warming. You can't just set up a hypothesis and then say that there is no evidence that can ever possibly contradict it. That's religion, not science.
GoDaddy, oh man. Hard to believe that I used to actually recommend them to clients for hosting. Then they started in with those ad campaigns that made Hooters ads look like church bulletins. That alone guaranteed that I would never recommend them again, even without the accompanying rumors of assorted other sleazy practices. It's a shame too. Their hosting was reasonably-priced and pretty reliable in its day.
Father Steve only extends his divine blessings to those with the faith to maintain the latest holy hardware. Obviously, you have lost your faith and become a Windows or Linux heretic. Expect no welcome in the Great Apple Store when the end comes!
Concrete on that scale would cause more problems than it's worth. Concrete off-gasses and pressure can build up, faults can form, etc. Not to mention the fact that a massive pour of concrete on that scale would probably take hundreds of years to dry if you tried pouring it all at once (dams usually pour it in small sections, contrary to popular belief).
aging and obsolete guns like the 1911 and the AR-15.
Whoa there! While I generally agree with much of the rest your post, them's fighting words! The M4 is still one of the most versatile and proven families of military rifles currently in use. It's come a long way since the old Vietnam-era M16's/AR-15's.
Yeah, it's a proud moment. Not since NASA astronauts landed on the moon has the agency stood so tall as to get a 10-year extension on a LEO tin can that we can't even get to without a Russian rocket. USA! USA! USA!
This isn't a troll question, but an honest one: What is the DRM-free vs. DRMed ration for mainstream games on Steam? I'm not a Steam user, and I hear people talking about non-DRM games on Steam, but I have no idea if this is almost universal, common, or rare. Knowing some studios (EA, I'm looking in your direction), I imagine all their games are DRMed, But is this the norm or the exception?
The problem is that YouTube and Google were once the little guys themselves. Thanks to the neutrality of the early internet, they were able to get their start, prove their worth, and earn their spot as top dogs in a fair, free market environment. But now, with the end of net neutrality as a principle (both in government regulation and accepted market practice), the next Google or YouTube will never even get off the ground without going begging to one of the big companies for patronage. Innovation suffers and so does the consumer.
Big win for AT&T--and a big loss for everyone else, of course. My libertarian friends all tell me that ending government regulation will produce a freer market. But this is a great example of what it REALLY produces (a closed market controlled completely by a handful of powerful monopolies who shut out any potential competition).
That's unpossible! All my libertarian friends assure me that getting the government off the backs of our noble corporations will result in more freedom and openness, a free market utopia!
With the end of net neutrality, it was really only a matter of time before we started to see the internet turn into a place where the big companies control the data, and the little guys and startups get shut out. Free market my ass.
No, if you want to stand out at CES, just use some buzzterms like "3-D printed," "green," "wearable," etc. for your products (whether they apply or not). By the time anyone notices that your tech doesn't actually use any of that stuff, you'll already be the darling of the show.
You think that Mars is going to be a better environment than a post-volcanic eruption earth? Post-eruption earth would still have oxygen, survivable air-pressure, water, and soil (though you may have to dig for it). We may have to retreat underground for a few years--but still way more survivable than the barren, cold iron desert of Mars ever will be (if there were a way to even get there).
Yeah, like *I FUCKING SAID*, I'm perfectly fine with the idea that climate and weather are two different things. I just want some consistency. You can't just pick and choose weather events and say "This weather event counts as evidence, but this one doesn't." Nor can you construct a hypothesis that is so convoluted as to be supported by ALL EVIDENCE, and which is impossible to disprove. That's not science, it's religion.

how about like when whole domains are being used for malware, phishing, or fraud?
Couldn't the browsers handle that?
Father Steve didn't die. He ascended.
Now his Geniuses provide divine guidance for us all, so that we may one day be worthy of his presence once more.

Just make sure he knows that we'll need at least one crewmember who can play the mamba.

If it's controlled, it's not really a meltdown, is it?

Good news for the Russian Space Agency. They get to ferry Americans up to space for at least another 10 years.
Who trusts *any* major corporation these days?

Because the REAL government is quietly asking them to hold onto the data.
Poor mic placement + poor normalization
He is a respected actor of television and film!
One of the first pictures we snapped was of a totally unnecessary gesture from a very impolite world in the Andromeda region.

This is bad for the market.

Okay, on the chance that you're not joking:

Get a guaranteed article about it on Wired or some tech site.
