Funny, since they hold one of the worlds most succesful degree programs in petroleum/fossil fuel engineering, training the same people that will work for these coal companies. If they truly wanted to prevent any environmental damage, they would also begin to close their school of energy resources engineering.
I've also read many arguments for how software can be monetized by selling technical support for the non-technically literate people. IIRC, this is how many GNU/Linux companies earned their money
In all honesty, I don't think that the HFT traders should be penalized for creating mathematical models to predict the market. When it comes to the bottom line, these are CS or Math PhDs who have the brains to figure out models for human nature , which blows my mind.
3 days after the news about Heartbleed is broken, my email account is hijacked and someone is sending my former teachers emails about Viagra. I have a hunch that this bug is the reason...
The current environment in Washington has made it near impossible for large companies without lobbyists to survive without huge fines or product bans. Just take a look of the results when Apple sued Samsung for copyright infringement versus when Samsung sued Apple.
BTRFS inode limitations once cause my system to go completely bonkers. I lost a huge amount of data due to a "limitation of space" when in reality it was an inode limit.
As soon as Google or some other company releases a platform for Android development similar to Netbeans, count me in. At this point, the process of getting Netbeans to work for Android development is just a complete hassle.

They had a great BBC interview about this and they mentioned how the elephants could tell apart the Maasai and Kamba languages. The online article on the BBC website also mentions how the elephants can tell apart gender by recognizing changes in the pitch and frequency of the voice.

My grandmother has used both of these OSes with success. Lubuntu is great since it is almost indiscernible to her from Windows Vista, which she used to have before the hard drive broke. She also used Meego Desktop, which is great due to its simple menu UI. However, we had to switch from Meego Desktop due to issues with Skype sound
Doesn't this just mean that all of the networks have to be put under the control of a singe entity, and then redistributed amont those living in the condo?
I know that you do not like GPLv3 due to the fact that you stated that it "punishes" those who use it. The question being, do you think that there is a way to influence large corporations, who have no intention of being a part of the Free Software Movement, without the use of licenses such as GPLv3?
Also curious as to whether you have read the comic Everybody Loves Eric Raymond

Richard Stallman would call puns on other people's names onomastication, since it incites the response of "Oh No!"

Sure, let's put dead bodies into highly radioactive zones and not expect people to have a zombie scare.
They could always use kickstarter...

Going back retroactively to MAKE someone a criminal is an act of corruption and injustice.
I fact, I think this is called ex post facto law, which is expressly banned in the constitution...
