    I think you're confusing social justice with vouching/discrediting. Nobody cares if a client blames a contractor for their own mistake. Most often, the client is "right", whereas in social justice, it's always the less powerful/wealthy that is "right".

    A large part of the problem is the huge percentage of one-way streets in SF. Once, I looked down the street for traffic, not realizing it was one-way, and nearly stepped in front of a moving bus. SF can be a bit scary that way...

    I've got a similar setup: 2 HDMI monitors, (TVs, actually,) 2 desktop computers, and a portable in a doc.

    The two desktops are each display out to the two monitors.
    The dock outputs to the main monitor.
    I also have a 4-port USB SWITCH, (a cheap, Chinese model, ~$5,) with push-button selection, connection a USB-hub (keyboard, mouse, etc) to each computer (& the dock.)

    With no further expense, switching controls and monitors is very simple, albeit with two commands on two controls.
    I imagine I could make it a single physical push-button action to select from 4 distinct, "programmed" modes by adding a programmable IR emitter to the USB-hub...

    I think your point is invalid: The old-school, "macho" ideal put forth by this website is a far cry from the MRA agenda, which is really more intent upon striking a balance in the pendulation of the equal rights movement. Like those attempting to conflate the entire MRA movement with some men in India who believe sex is a right of marriage, this article is trying to discredit any opposition to feminism, which in turn suggests that more radical feminism is the underlying agenda.

    Can you cite a single case where it has helped? I really don't care whether it's "harmful" or not. My research is private & confidential to everyone without my specific permission. This does not imply guilt of any crime. I demand the right to keep my papers & personal effects, including my data, free from unreasonable search & seizure. Blanket surveillance is unreasonable. End of story.

    Some may grumble about this, but speaking as one who's developed an entire suite of tools for 3D printing, I see this as a very positive step towards streamlining the 3D printing process. I wouldn't call it bloat, as it seems to be an available tool rather than a resource-hungry feature loaded as start-up time.

    I'll put you down under "seeing what you want to see." I've got a 50" 4K as my main desktop monitor. Yes, it's huge, and even with very good eyesight, I can scarcely make out pixels if I lean in towards the screen, (~12" away). I'm quite happy bringing the resolution down to 1080p when I want a high framerate, & can't imagine needing more than 4K for fine text. The *only* case I can see for 8k are very large (65"+) that you're going to sit very close to (3'). Even movie theater screens don't need to be 8k!

    We're talking about the Federal Reserve, right? The one that wasn't created until 1913, right? In that case, we'd better stop tying this to Lincoln unless you've got some kind of evidence that the Federal Reserve somehow dates back to Lincoln's time.     I offered my time for 2 hours once a week to a nearby school in an urban area. I taught a small group (about a half dozen 5th- & 6th-grade students, IIRC) basic computer skills & how to use them for art & animation. For the most part, they seemed to see this as free time away from normal classes. This changed when they asked how much I was paid to be there. I told them I was paid nothing, that I was there to help them learn. They really started to pay attention at that point.
