I'll be buying my 21 month old son Tinker Toys and a Tonka truck for Christmas. I'll go with the wood Tinker Toys but I'll stick with plastic for the truck at least for another couple of years.
And man are TinkerToys hard to find now. They don't carry them at Target. One of the places I have found them is Cracker Barrel restaurant.

No, but they wouldn't pirate according to Steve Ballmer.
We can analyze and discuss ways of making patents work and work for open source software till we're blue in the face. But it really comes down to this:
Software patents suck. They have no upside except to large corporations to try and maintain dominance.
I can actually live with Apple's DRM. But what keeps me from downloading more music from iTunes is the fact that it is in a lossy format (AAC). I want my music in a CD-quality format. I feel a little cheated when I pay for music that has less quality than what I could get at a record store.
And unfortunately for iTunes, their prices don't provide room to allow for lossless music downloads without it costing more than the CD in the store.
Thats because religions tend to talk about the end of the world and believers always think that they'll see the end of the world in their lifetime. So there's no concern for preserving it.
And a comparably equipped Dell will run you about $1000 more. Spec out a PC that has all the features of the G5 and you'll see that the PowerMac is very reasonably priced. When comparing it to the crap Dell and Gateway advertise, yeah it sounds expensive. But those machines are crap.
What bug are you referring to? I'm running Debian with the 2.6.8-1-686 kernel and my cd burner works fine. I remember I did have to go back and change some settings in/etc/default/cdrecord. It works fine now.
Programming was originally considered to be mathematical in nature, therefore couldn't be patented. But unfortunately, software patents are common now. There really shouldn't be patents on software. Copyrights, yes. Patents, no.
Dude, nobody turns off Apple computers. Even my iBook doesn't get turned off. Apple Computers go to sleep and wake up when you hit the space bar. Their power saving features are years ahead of anything Intel based.
Its obvious you know nothing about Apple computers.
Its a good thought to have a 15" but remember that the computer is in the display. So a 15" probably wasn't big enough to house the motherboard and accessories.
I really believe that the software giant is about to crumble in the next 10 years. The patent plan is their last gasp to maintain control of the industry. I really feel they will use this to try and stop Linux. And eventually, the courts will decide whether the United States will be a Microsoft run country or an open source country. Meanwhile the rest of the world will probably go open source. Either way, I think Microsofts best days are definitely behind them. Oh, I think they may win a few more battles, but I believe the tide has already turned and they are fighting an uphill battle the rest of the way.
I wouldn't call AAC open by any means. In my opinion, if you've got to pay an arm and a leg to license the format, its not open. The only open format that is lossy is Ogg Vorbis as far as I know.
I do wish Apple had chosen FLAC for its lossless format. But once again, Apple wants to lock you in to their own product (or at least a product of Dolby again) by providing another lossless format that is not used by anyone.
So all those concert sites with FLAC still can't be played on my iPod unless I convert them.
The NFL doesn't show games like you mentioned. 4:30 games on the east coast are the 1:30 games on the west coast. They don't hold back a 4:30 game to 4:30 on the west coast.

I don't think your setup would prevent against a nuclear attack. :-)
These are some of the reasons why Michael Moore labeled Clinton as a great Republican President.
He wants to have a monopoly on losing American jobs.

The G5 iMac does have built in speakers. They are located on the bottom of the computer and face down to reflect off the desktop. Pretty ingenious.

It might have something to do with it being in WMV 9 format.

Or does Microsoft already have a patent on this?

So both Microsoft and Apple refuse to support open source codecs. They have something in common. They fear losing control.

Still waiting for my bash shell.

Lets get this thing moved to the top of their list of absurd and stupid patents.
Except that you still have to buy the Dell. Then I really don't think you could get your money back on Ebay for it.
Which talk show did you get this crap from? Rush or the other nutcase?
I believe AT&T was broken up in spite of Reagan, not because of Reagan. During his time in office, Democrats were the majority in Congress.
