The original assertion is true. Altavista the the default search engine around 97-99 or so. Google's becomming less and less usefull each day. Far too many of the results are dominated by spammers of one sort or another.
Amoung nerds isn't it's noteriety due to its unearned reputation for speed? Didn't/. post a benchmark showing that its optimizations were overagressive, and that net performance suffered?
They assemble a reliable machine and, as a company, are a dream to work with. If you are a company of reasonable size, ordering and support are prompt and hassle-free. I work for a large leasing company, and since technically it's our cash upfront, we own tens of thousands of Dell PC's and servers. You ought to see the free stuff we get around here.
By taking no action they gave their support to the status quo, i.e. one spouse has the right to make life an death decisions for the other. The sanctity of marriage some call it.
First of all, about 60% of/. stories are 2-day-old posts on either Gizmodo, Engadget, Lifehacker, or Hack-A-Day. I doubt/. editors even realize this, because they obviously don't get "out" very much.
But seriously. The dupes are out of control. It takes 10 minutes a day, max, to scan the headlines OF THE SITE YOUR JOB IT IS TO EDIT. Timothy obviously does not read this site. So WTF? Could we possibly get an editor that takes his job seriously?
Still not even a pittance. Compared to Movies in PAL/NTSC French English German Spanish Mandarin Japanese, Music, PC Apps, PC Games, Playstation Games PAL / NTSC, Playstation 2 games PAL / NTSC, XBOX games PAL / NTSC, etc etc
Is it so incomprehensible to you that in this world of 5 billion people that there may be a few hundred who are hell bent on inflicting as much violence as possible on innocent people.
Japan had imprisoned a bunch of innocent US citizens
If they were innocent, you're right, they'd be an outcry. If they were picked up in a foreign country fighting with the Japanese Red Army, most Americans would say good riddence.

Imagine being able to pull down full DVD's in a few minutes.
Tridgell = Samba = Screws Microsoft = Good
Any questions?
When Bob Dole was a law student at Washburn he had to tape the lectures. He was unable to take notes in class because of the injuries to his arm.
That would be a major waste of time.
Did we ever get a good explanation of why Eccleston didn't want to do more than one season as Who?
Calling home to mom on the mobile. Holding hands. "I'm so happy I met you" , "Me too", giggling, opressed servant girl saves the day.
I almost feel gay for watching it.
First of all there laptops crap out after two years of hard use
That's why you get a 3 year warranty.
How about the laptop plug recall, that was a friggen headache
It was annoying, but not that bad.
Small form factor optiplex that makes it cook itself.
I haven't seen that one.
Motherboard failures
Fewer than average.
Fan failures
I haven't seen that one.

In other words, Christopher Eccleston is an idiot.

I guess no more argument as to which distro is best.

Good summary of the law at Findlaw
They probably have a good case.
Non story.
Thier label system just doesn't play well with many mail clients. Why move away from something tried and true?

Debian ISO's don't account for squat.
I don't think Debian ISO's constitute even a minor fraction of bittorrent traffic.
I'd like to install it too?
our nation is incapable of an election process that all citizens can trust
All citizens? That's a rather high threshold, especially one for a citizenry that's been wary of government power since it's inception.
its economy is a faltering mass of obese and absolutely controlled horde of service labourers
And yet it's the most productive and still improving.
Acutually the Constitution referrs to "persons" not citizens. Citizenship is mentioned in the requirements for holding office etc.
In fact the word citizen doesn't appear at all in the Bill of Rights.
You are misinformed.
Jose Padilla in not in Guantanamo:
"Padilla was transferred to military control and transported to the Naval Consolidated Brig, Charleston, South Carolina"
Neither is Yaser Hamdi:
But when his American citizenship came to light, the government transported him from there to the brig at the Norfolk Naval Station.
Neither were charged under the PATRIOT act.
Does it bother you that you don't know what you are talking about?
