  1. Re:Weight Sensors on Self-Adapting Traffic Lights · · Score: 1

Actually, there's a pretty easy way to have the lights recognize more than one vehicle. Install multiple sensors down the lane. Come here to Sacramento and check out Truxel Road at Interstate 80. Since traffic can pile up so deeply coming off the highway going to wal-mart and home depot (which are right at the exit) the traffic going that way will get an extra turn in the middle of the normal light cycle if there's enough vehicles. I'm not exactly sure what enough is, but there's three protected left turn lanes that are about 15 car lengths deep, and they'll fill completely in under a minute.

I disagree. Being a minor does not deny you rights to privacy, or any freedoms. The only rights a minor lacks are those that are specifically outlined by whatever state law applies to that child, and specifically reserves those rights to a person of majority. Privacy is not one of them.

Ars Technica has a pretty good review of USB 2.0 flash drives, for those curious about performance benchmarks.

Someone said something about pictures of the Cruzer Micro. SanDsik has easily available images of their products for press kits, even huge EPS files. Here's a nearly sane JPEG of the Cruzer Micro 512 MB

Microsoft, EA... bah! Should either of those companies purchase Sega, I will personally mail letters of apology to the entire Sonic Team staff. The combined talent of Sonic Team and E.A.D. is nothing short of awe inspiring.

Sega has always had vision, and business seems to have taken a bit of a backseat. Nintendo knows where to draw the lines between vision and business, and their conservative business style helps to keep things in check. I do believe Nintendo is the only place where all of the Sega teams can flourish. The benefits to Nintendo are obtaining some of the best developers out there, as well as a good sports franchise, and maybe even creating some new Phantasy Star (not online) games. Nintendo has no reason to throw away anything they would get from this deal.
