What the hell is a "custom house" Go see an architect. Not a joeblow architect or a "home builder", let alone a contractor. If you want to build, see someone who can maximize the costs - materials don't come cheap but someone with a little insite can make a little go a LONG way. i.e., sam mockbee, rip.
"This is such bull, I can't believe it. I was talking to Tony, my friend at a used cd store, and he says the CD sales have never been higher. People all the time are coming in saying, "I downloaded a song from the new ______ album, do you have it in stock?" And they buy it. The RIAA needs to get a clue. "
In 1996 K2 launched a line a skis that also used Piezoelectric fibers. K2 made skis for Olin as well.
The skis used a plate manufactured by Active Control eXperts, Inc. Now owned by Cymer. Read more about the QuickPack actuators here. For info about the ski plate see here. The plates are used in Fightjet skins, waterskis, speakers, snowboards, shocks, etc.
I raced with the Olins and I swear they are my favorite skis ever - soft yet stiff when needed at high speeds and high vibration periods.
"me too". I don't 30second skip, I might miss and entertaining commercial. Seriously.
Bottom line, there are too many commercials. The "power of the commercial" has weakend to near uselessness. Fewer ads = more important ads = more viewed ads. When will they figure that out?
You can't make a copy of everything, but some would like to make a copy/backup of what they can. Believe it of not, not everyone who wants a "backup" is going to share it with someone. Who are we to tell someone that they don't need a copy? Got a copy of your financial reports?
Wilco is proving that the bottom line about sales is the quality of music. They were at 13 on Billboards chart last week. Big lable? not any more, they bought their album back from mr big.
Their latest album was available online forever and a day before its market launch. People still bought it, and are still buying it.
Ditto. With the amount of programming available now in HD, its more important than ever to be able to timeshift HD content. I WANT HD, but can't imagine having to be there at 8 when the movie starts.
I know, hipix for ota, but no direct hd tivo, yet. Lets but make an HD tivo and add a hipix card and voila, a direct tivo that can grab ota broadcasts as well. Where do I send my money?
Music is dead, something else is going to take it's place. The riaa is kicking a screaming on the way down.
Did anyone actually think that music as a form of art and entertainment would last forever? Does anything outlast time? There is plenty of great music to listen to from the last 80+ years, why make more?..we'll make more, but 'they' won't make $more$.
Apple might have help the public image, but this idea isn't new at all - IBM Netvista X series, Gateway, etc. Gateway's isn't a copy of the new imac, NOR is it a copy of the old imac.. at least not anymore than the old imac is of an old Kaypro.
I got one page to come up from the site, it looks like they are talking about the old imacs, not the new white-whats-the-point-of-having-a-flat-panel-if-it s-tied-down-to-a-20lb-hemisphere imac. I want to see the lcd panel taken off and have the hemisphere tucked away somewhere.
I like midi. But I've heard on this new thing called mod, it takes samples and tone shifts them to recreate the song! Pretty cool, like midi but better!
in the mean time - I can't stand mp3s, ogg might be the way for me to go now.
this is the first time that i couldnt find a download somewhere else and had to resort to signing up at fileplanet. I had no idea that there was a WAIT for downloads!..and whats this personal server crap? geeze. more mirrors for the download would have been nice.
Turnkey Solution? Welcome to the Mac OS. When the mac-ites laugh at XP, remind them that imovie, imusic, ithis, ithat, and quicktime is the same as XP (as in turnkey).

People need to realize that MBs and BMWs are in the shop as often, or more often, than new Fords or Chevys.
