    It took a few times, but when I bug my Pennsylvania Reps and Senators, I eventually get an actual response and the normal form emails. Obviously it's from a staffer running off bullet points, but they did actually reference specific things I mentioned in my email(s).
    Must be a persistence thing.

    Seriously? How many zeros are needed behind that 1:x00.... probability chart?
    Chance of meteor hitting earth x chance of it hitting land x chance of it hitting the miniscule % of land where nukes are x chance it is big enough to "pulverize" the plant.

    As opposed to the known side effects on health from pollution from coal & oil.

    I'd say that the difference is that the artists don't have to sign with GEMA. It would be harder on the artists, probably, but GEMA is not kidnapping them and making them work for nothing.
