    Mexico has always been a Republic, but was not always a democracy.

    The UK is not a Republic but is a democracy.

    The US is both, burro.

    My point is, MS is dictating to you how you use your own hardware. If you think that is reasonable, good for you cowboy and good luck.

    If copyright infringement is such a menace, how it comes MS made a profit from completely unprotected software for all these years?

    The espectacle of a US highway full of these monstruosities transporting mainly only one person is obscene. Not aesthetically mind you, which is most probably the only reason why those vehicles are bought, but moraly, economically and environmentaly obscene.

    The main purpose of having an army is not as a beneficency agency. Its main purpose is to strike the fear out of the perceived enemy and to kill them if ordered to do so.

    If all the army is ordered to go and dress like Santa Claus while giving gifts to poor children that is all well and good, but that does not diminish in one iota the main purpose of any armed forces.

    All around the world there are people that have experienced this first hand, one way or another, just because they use your services in a benign way does not mean that you are not part of a killing machinery.

    The poster to whom you replied is saying basically that Windows OSes are crap for enterprise services (which is mostly correct), you are saying that Windows is fine for desktop users(which is a matter of taste, but to each his own poison). You are agreeing with him!

    Oh yes, and:
    Unix user since 1989 (AIX,SunOS,Solaris,Irix).
    Linux user since 1993 (productionized it as desktop since 1995).
    Windows user sometimes briefly. Forced.
