How can you "steal" links from Slashdot when all Slashdot does is link to other sites? Not that I really care who links what first or where it comes from.
I too have used Froogle many times, but it isn't the one stop shop for all your low price needs. I'd say about 20% of the time I've found items cheaper elsewhere than what Froogle thinks is the lowest price. I believe that lowest price searching is dependent upon the type item you are searching for. For instance, if you want to search for college textbooks I've found that www.campusi.com does a damn good job of finding those really low prices. I'm sure everyone (well, everyone in the know) has their own methods of mining out that low price from the web, but just don't leave it to Froogle to do it all for you.
I'm on XP SP2 but that shouldn't be it either. I think maybe it's an extension b/c I've had these JS popups work before. Maybe it's the Tabbrowser Extension that is somehow killing them?
Upgrade to 1.0.4 still doesn't fix JavaScript issues. My biggest frustration with FF is how some links that reference JS popups do not work. Anyone know why? I wouldn't think it would have to do with the JS code, but maybe so? For example, clicking on any of these thumbnails is supposed to open a larger image but it just opens a blank window.
C'mon. I was 18. I'm sure you all didn't act like your parents when you were a Senior in high school. Yeah, I know it was dumb, stupid, immature, all that stuff. Who didn't act that way back then? I have to look back at it now and laugh though. Would I do it again? Hell no! Proud? No, I'm just glad I'm able to tell the story and all I got was a 210 day license suspense and a week's suspension from school. Oh yeah, whomever scored me as trolling obviously didn't read the threads I was replying to.
These "Check Portability" links are a load of crap. I recently signed up for Packet8 because their website said my number was available for portability. About 2-3 weeks later I get an email saying they can't port it because they don't have access to that number. Yeah, it kind of pissed me off, but I'm going to swap to the P8 number so my number won't be in the phone book any more and the police will quit calling me for money. Just beware of the portability issue.
I haven't been current in years either. Not since I flew too low over my high school one too many times. I got my license suspended for 210 days and then I went off to college and just haven't had the money to get current again.
Nevermind. Guess I should've read more. Ad Blocker to the rescue. And yes, I know, it's a Div tag and not layers. Whatever. I call it freakin' annoying.
Countless pop-up blockers but who stops the floaters? I hate those layers or Flash that fly around on the screen before they decide (maybe) to land in a banner somewhere on the page. It's even worse when it has sound. Stop the insanity!!
This isn't a new concept at all. I read about a guy in South Africa who built one of these about five years ago. Supposedly he even received death threats from oil company gangsters. Check it out
I agree w/ raam. I have XM myself (and love it) and I see no need for in vehicle television. I'm single anyways and drive a Civic so I wouldn't need that expensive stuff anyways. Besides, doesn't DirectTV just stream random songs on their stations? I'm sure it's not like XM where I can call or email them with song requests or actually get on the air.
"The heat is on. The heat is o-on. On the street!"
Did Robert Palmer sing that song? It just popped into my head thinking of all the roasting rioters, protestors, dirty hippies, etc.

But according to Independence Day a Mac with a nasty virus can wreak havok on an alien's Mac-compatible computer system.

Ok, nevermind all this. It's the damn Tabbrowser Extension! Wish I could delete /. comments.

Yes, wind is merely a heat exhange.
