  10. Why not rename it? on Review of Pay Napster · · Score: 1

Napster was a great service. It was shut down. The free service was shut down. Now they've made another music service that you have to pay for. Why don't they rename it?

It certainly will be much more accepted by the public, because napster was shut down before and that might be viewed as bad by the general public.

in case your email has never been revealed anywhere on the net, you can use cgi or php scripts that email you. They don't reveal your email address, but let's your users email you.

I switched to these way too late though, so I still get lots of spam.

Here's an example of a web mail form:

  24. I got quite mad on Deja, Google, Open Source, Oh My · · Score: 3

When they took down the old deja, I was quite mad. Google's way of viewing the messages sucked. I can't post there anymore either. So I found news.interbulletin.com. It is a usenet service that allows you to view about 30,000 newsgroups and lets you post under any name. It also uses frames which I like becuase the whole page doesn't have to be reloaded. Their server is very slow right now becuase lots of deja users switched to their service. Its usually around 200/bytes per second on my 56k modem. Anyone who was mad too you can use news.interbulletin.com for a while and hope the old deja.com will sometime come back alive (probably not)
